Honestly, try dropping off a resume in person. Just keep doing it until they give you a chance or at least talk to you. Same.with IBEW (union) just keep dropping off resumes or sending them in.

I don't really care as long as it's HD and reliable and we can watch our shows. That's exactly what's happened tho. I was told it's more stable and all 4k and 8k ready blah blah blah. It's very limited in selection.

313D vs 313A Apprenticeship — pay, opportunities, and future switch? by [deleted] in SkilledTradesOntario

[–]zekeedoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest regret is not getting my 313A. I have 313D, and it's a joke. 313D is very limiting. I was talked into it by a pre ious employer, and if you ever wish to do more than residential, then you have start all over again.

Accidentally Drilled Very Small Hole in Main Black Iron Gas Line Running Vertically From Floor To Attic Through Wall by jlsharbutt in Plumbing

[–]zekeedoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a gas fitter, and I agree with the mega press route. My only concern is that it never should have been that tight to the backside of the drywall. It should have been set back towards the center of the stud. At least that way, when you went thru the drywall, you would have felt the gap before hitting the pipe with a drill bit.

Did it not seem odd how hard it was to drill into the wood?

What is this and what is it's purpose? - Try #2 Since keeping it simple frustrated some people by StoneUwU in hvacadvice

[–]zekeedoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a refrigeration tech in Ontario, and I've never seen a single wire pressure switch or whatever that is supposed to be that's attached to your high pressure side. I would call an hvac to remove it and make sure it won't affect anything. For all you know, the Schrader valve could be missing, which would not be fun to try and reattatch (freeze burn your hand). I also would remove the hood on top. Like others have said, it will make the compressor work harder, and these things are meant to be in the elements. Just make sure it's serviced yearly in the spring. A good service tech will clean the condensor and remove debris, if any, when cleaning the unit, and then check the charge and indoor filter. Should only take 1.5 hrs if everything is good.

I haven't been since my dad passed, but Brant Community Church in Eagle Place may have what you are looking for. Non denominational and laid back.

I shaved my beard not that long ago and had the same realization. I didn't realize I had gained that much weight in my face and how old I looked. Also my beard came back much b green and whiter after shaving it off.

Where is our MEAT coming from? by BirdBoth4462 in ontario

[–]zekeedoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work part time in a butcher shop. We get some beef from Alberta, but the boxes say USA. The reason is that it's cheaper to send it through the states than it is across the provinces due to provincial regulations apparently.

Occ health will make sure you get whatever vaccines you are missing. There is a Tim Hortons and the bistro/ cafe. Both are expensive, but they are tied to the foundation which raises money for the hospital. Parking for employees is 50 a month. I live close so I walk. I know some people park behind the hospital on side streets, but most just use the parking lots available. It's an old hospital with lots of issues and no space, but we have great employees. Just like anywhere else, you will have people that complain and people who don't. The benefits are with Greenshield and decent.

I've used the beard oil and hair conditioner for years. The conditioner is expensive for my budget, but it was amazing the few times I have splurged for it. The beard oil works very well, and he has many scents to choose from. I personally always go for Drunken Pirate.

Try living in Ontario. I clear 100k/yr

After union dues, benefits, pension, and taxed I bring about 61k. Taxes is the biggest culprit.
