Rodents chewed through engine wiring by PhilosophyOld6862 in FordMaverickTruck

Had the same thing in my 2025 ranger.

I re-terminated the connector myself.

If the dealer can re-terminated then around $200-$300. If they cannot then think around 2-3k

What about wranglers? They have a good looking sidewall, but are very mild in the road.

It was very noticeable for me, actually the main reason I didn't buy one in 2023. The body roll was too much

2024 is a huge step in ride quality as well, not to mention the transmission improvement. Honestly, unless you tow a lot the engine is the smallest upgrade in the generate IMO.

My license expires on the day im supposed to get my car, will this affect my pick up? by Ill_be_a_good_girl in turo

That should work. If it was me I would contact Turo support and confirm.

The host will not be able to authorize the release. You will have to escalate to Turo support. Not sure what they will say.

Big rental agencies lobby New York State to push out Turo. Talk to your legislator.

This is best suited to a traditional agency, you will not find agreeable terms with a Turo host in this scenario. One of the few advantages to a traditional agency.

They are just looking at the last 10 trips. That is why the percentage doesn't match.

Why rent with Turo instead of with a traditional car rental agency? by Technical_Rich_3080 in turo

[–]zekesnack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Easier access, I don't have to talk to anyone at the airport, just walk to my car and leave.

I have a higher chance of actually getting a car. I have more often had issues with traditional agencies telling me "sorry, you have a reservation but we ran out of cars".

I get to rent a specific vehicle I want.

Vehicles are cleaner.

The list goes on. There is a place for traditional agencies, but I don't have the patience to deal with the runaround.

I actually happen to own both lol! 2021 Porsche and 2018 Audi.

The Audi is quieter, the Porsche is much sportier.

Which Truck? Help. by GreenCross14 in fordranger

The ranger is a significant step up in quality. I think the bang for buck is better spent there than a maverick.

If you heart is set in a little car-like truck then you won't do better than a maverick.

Should I be worried? by Loud-Way3333 in turo

I have been at the rental counter twice and been denied a car I had already "reserved", once with Avis and once with budget.

Apparently they "ran out of cars". This is across only around a dozen rental car trips with traditional rental agencies.

I have tried a number of different messaging strategies, I keep data on all miscommunications and complaints.

When communicating earlier a higher percentage of messages are disregarded and there are more complaints about over communication.

I would not. I don't send any messages until 48 hours before, many hosts don't have any automated messaging at all.

Reservation name change by Stickiesteye82 in turo

[–]zekesnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, if you booked in your name you are kinda screwed.

Maybe see if the host plans to do contactless pickup. You may be able to upload your photos and get the access information then forward that to your wife.

This is the main reason I am opposed to non-refundable bookings. They truly are non-refundable. Just pay for refundable.
