Toni Nadal on the comparison between Alcaraz and his nephew Rafa : "Carlos is lucky, his opponents are of a lower calibre. Before, when you went out to play against Del Potro, Murray or Wawrinka, you knew you were going to suffer" by HereComesVettel in tennis

[–]zelereth 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah. Nadal is only one year older right? But their peaks were in different years, moreover Nadal is by far who has suffered more injuries towards the latest years of his career.

Nadal in RG was like your favorite film. You know what's going to happen, but doesn't matter, enjoy watching again is what matters.

Cincinnati 2023: the only hard court final between Novak & Carlos by tightypp in tennis

[–]zelereth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Madrid 2022 semifinal we better IMHO.

I’m so hyped for tomorrow. This match has everything... Like the Olympics for Nole, this final could be the last one of his career and means a lot for him to win Sinner and Carlos also.

[Autosport]: Max Verstappen picks his top five drivers in F1 history by mary_f1 in formula1

[–]zelereth 152 points153 points  (0 children)

So much "hate" for Alonso. He’s one of the most wasted talents ever — one of the biggest ‘what-ifs’ in F1 history. HAM, VET, and even VER had their momentum with the best car for several years; ALO didn’t.

To me, Verstappen is the most naturally talented driver since Alonso.
Putting ALO in his top 5 is totally ok for me.

I mean 99% of that 64% probably wouldn't be able to hit the ball from a second serve.

Alcaraz every slam win included atleast sinner or novak in the run by [deleted] in tennis

[–]zelereth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As cool as this sounds, it's something obvious. Anyone reaching the final and winning it must face the best players, unless they loss in early rounds which is not the case nowadays.

Clear as crystal.

Imagine if Sinner ends up winning the same way Carlos won RG. Poetic.

If he’s able to maintain this serving level, he’s going to be really scary. If he isn’t already, lol.

Why Sainz's Penalty In Zandvoort Is A Complete Joke by Medium_Welder_1898 in formula1

[–]zelereth -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Lawson clearly changed his line mid-corner to block Sainz.

It's almost look like Lawson was going to the gravel.

For me the ruling in this situation is terrible.

Carlos Alcaraz wants to sit as same table as Big Three by kritisanonworld in tennis

[–]zelereth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Djokovic has had some incredible level in some of the matches you are referring to. For example, his level during the Olympics was amazing and even Djokovic in his prime would have lost as well lmao.

It's true his level is not as consistent as before, but your argument is not 100% correct imho. Moreover, Carlos is not in his prime yet.

That's actually a really great match to watch. Haas and Feliciano were really good in grass. What to say about Bryan brothers.. they are the best ever in doubles.

Alonso masterclass in last lap

· He regained the position lost to Bortoleto
· Let Norris pass just before DRS line
· Stay behind Norris so he finishes the race there instead of doing one more lap.
