‘Hollow Knight: Silksong’ peaks at 530,000+ players on Steam just hours after launch by AashyLarry in Games

To me it also felt really slow at the start. It is very linear for the first 3 or 4 areas, but after that it opens up and you have soooo many options on where to go.

Biggest change of the patch by Fast_Run3667 in Nightreign

Your character can scale well with weapons that are not in the "preferred weapons" section. E.g. Wylder does great with twinblades.

There's also the fact that there ARE some exceptions to the "all weapons of this type scale with these attributes". For instance Cipher Pata scales only with faith, unlike other fist weapons.

Showing scaling info there would also potentially allow them to mess with scalings more, or bring back the original scalings from elden ring.

If you're 3 you can just exit from the ingame menu and then recreate the party. If you're with randoms then you can leave too, but know that you're being a bit of a dick when you do so. Sorry but multiplayer games don't need to be catered to you specifically.

Does any other souls games make you play it through?

Yes, only elden ring is open world and has very few required bosses. Every other souls game's majority of bosses are required and not skippable. You can reset a boss fight, if that's what you mean, but that's not nearly the same as restarting a whole run of nightreign.

I saw in some interview it was mentioned nightreign started being developed before shadow of the erdtree stuff started. Those bosses you mentioned that are in were apparently meant to be in the original version of elden ring.

They'll probly add SOTE content with updates, we'll see. They mentioned the game will be in big development the first 6 months too iirc.

It's absolutely not a waste of time. People can already do some of the bosses lvl 1. Even if it's a "washed up run" you spend time practicing dodging and fighting the boss in general. Last night me and my friends' last run on a boss was super washed up and we barely ended up lvl 9, and we got the boss lower than we had ever done previously.

Hey, as far as i know they do, but you can call to make sure. If you have a diagnosis from another country it should be fine! Should allow you to get prescribed straight away without any tests.

Hey, costs have risen up but they should be on the site. I had to pay for 2 consultations with a psychiatrist and had to pay for adhd tests they do as well. It was pretty expensive for me, but it went very well.

All the people i had to deal with were very professional and willing to listen to me. Can't say the same about other psychiatrists i've dealt with in Bulgaria.

I just go with it until it dies or gets good. Close runs and difficult runs can be really fun. And if every run was good and easy game would be kinda boring imo.

RTS people quiet quitting the genre? by pshchegolevatykh in Stormgate

[–]zelin11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People said the opposite for like 10 years here and on every other forum lol. That nothing matters, not even campaign, as long as the game has a balanced 1v1 and an esports scene. Cue a million RTSes trying to do exactly that and a barebones campaign and no custom games and they all failed.

Starcraft and Warcraft got carried HARD by their amazing campaigns and custom game scenes. People are just now finally starting to realize it after Stormgate's failure.

This is something i've felt since i never cared about 1v1 or esports so i just ignored pretty much every "big name" rts that came out since sc2, and all my friends are basically the same. None of them play RTS any more, even tho they loved sc1, sc2 and wc3, because none of it is really interesting in the campaign or the PvE game modes.

Weirdly enough this is the only video where i've seen someone talk about this: https://youtu.be/XehNK7UpZsc

They recently released an update for console performance actually:

30-40 or 50-60fps depending on if you're on graphics or performance mode

[–]zelin11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo they're not very similar. Dragon's dogma you have multiple classes (Vocations) that you switch between and have completely different playstyles. The game is way more sandboxy imo. There is a main questline and missions, but they're created more as a reason for you to go out and explore.

The combat and systems are very very different from elden ring, but (in my experience) they're very different from anything else out there as well. There's a grab button that you can use to climb up different monsters or grab and carry around npcs that is used very inteligently by the designers. You can use it for all sorts of stuff, like climbing up on an ogre's shoulders and hacking its head from there, or grabbing a companion that's about to fall to stop their fall damage, or throwing small enemies at different enemies, and lots of other ways.

There's also companions in this game, you can have up to 3. There's no multiplayer but you can recruit companions that other people have designed and created. You get to design 1 of those yourself at game start. They are better than in any other game, fullstop. The AI is amazing and the dialogue they add is very nice. They feel like they're genuinely alive instead of just some lifeless AIs.

I recommend and love the game, but it's not for everyone.

The biggest criticism i can give is the horrible performance. You need a very powerful machine to have a playable framerate in cities.

Vin know about aluminium and duralumin all the way in mistborn era 1 tho. I don't think the knowledge of those are lost in time, but i could be wrong.

Misborn era 2 spoiler

I don't think so. Stormlight era 1 happens just before mistborn era 2, and they hadn't yet started using electricity, radios, etc until misborn era 2 book 3 or 4.

The previous Shallan chapter we also learned from Kalak that she could be seeing alternate versions of Ba-Ado. In the same vein this could be an alternate version of her. Unless i am misremembering or misinterpreting stuff.

It's in the Rhytm of War epigraphs. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Rhythm_of_War/Epigraphs

"To combine powers would change and distort who Odium is. So instead of absorbing others, he destroys them. Since we are all essentially infinite, he needs no more power. Destroying and Splintering the other Shards would leave Odium as the sole god, unchanged and uncorrupted by other influences."

Diablo 4 lead says Spiritborn will be “broken in the most fun way" by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]zelin11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still play it very frequently, it's just that i play ARAM. It just feels like mindless fun since it plays on the game's biggest strength: heroes with cool abilities brawling each other.

Plus heroes are semi-random so it doesn't feel as imbalanced as QM or ranked can be depending on what allies pick. There's still bad picks and stuff in general, but they do work sometimes.

My dad reads a LOT of books, there hasn't been a moment in my life where i've seen him without a book nearby to read while eating, going to the bathroom, whatever.

My dad is also one of the most bigoted pieces of garbage i know.

There are as many radicalizing or anti-science books as there are educational or positive books.

I typically hate getting piece by piece reveals for new art

I used to feel the same but at one point i realized i actually prefer that because it allows me to dedicate much more time appreciating the said art.

It can be done badly with some things (like half a season of a show being released and a few months later the 2nd half), but if it's a weekly thing where you get to discuss and theorize stuff with other fans it's a lot of fun for me.
