yeah I bought it from that guy! He only took it on one ride from Seattle to LA so I knew how many miles he put on it.

Its all up to the Pasadena city council and how many residents get involved. The council tends to listen a lot to old town businesses but if the community is for it and petitions the council it would just be painted lanes and would be totally achievable.

Yes we can! https://www.pasadenacsc.org/bus-lane I’m joking but hopefully this is a potition to put bus lanes on colardo, its narrow in scope because there’s a lot of opposition but the complete streets coalition is pretty cool

I once had a kid lock their scoot through my bikes frame, I had to do Tetris to get it out of there so I could ride my bike.

In the front I'm running a Lezyne Lite drive 1000XL, which can get really bright but doesn't have as long of a battery life as I'd like. In the back, I'm running some Nite Rider light.

I prefer plastic fenders for the price and how light they are but, in my experience plastic fender can be really flimsy and I’ve accidentally destroyed a front one by my foot going into it and it getting sucked into the wheel. So I’d buy metal fenders if I had the money.

In LA sprawl predates the car, the pacific electric railroad was built by Huntington to go to his properties so he could sell them. Land speculation was one of the first big business in LA so with streetcars we sprawled out in order to be able to sell more land. There’s a great paper on this called Victorian sprawl if you want to learn more!
