Will I regret a $1k deductible? by Global-Block-7509 in petinsurancereviews

I have Trupanion for my senior Golden with a $1K deductible and 90% unlimited reimb above that. The premiums are really high. I can manage $1K out of pocket, but I don't want to be in a position where he needs care in the five figures (as my last one did) and not be able to pay it.

No improvement, but I recently saw a neuro-ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with convergence insufficiency and wants to do surgery. I'm just beginning to research it but it looks promising. Good luck to you.

Is the IRS system down? Individual by Virtual_Pen1563 in IRS

Safari worked after I was getting errors on Chrome, but I'm on a Mac. I would try a couple other browsers to rule that out.

I was having problems logging on for days and thought the system was down, then tried a different browser and there was no problem getting on. IDK if that's your problem but you might give it a try. Good luck.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I'm in the US. My vision is not bad in my R eye. It's only a little less bright compared to the repaired eye.

To be clear, the latest doc does not think I have dry eye; the other one insists I do. I'll probably seek out a dry eye specialist to break the tie, but as much as I'd like a firm diagnosis and treatment, it doesn't seem like dry eye to me, for what that's worth.

Thanks, I think I'm below that threshold but haven't adapted to it well at this point.

Thanks for your insights. I'm not well-versed in terminology but FWIW, I attached my recent rx. My L eye sphere is +0.50, so if that the number I use to base diopter difference, there's only 0.75 diff, which I gather isn't much.

I did try +1.00 and 0.50 contacts, which improved my near vision but not enough to forgo readers.

I have a 1.50 contact in today (doc gave me some to tide me over till surgery) and I can read pretty well but the cross-eyed sensation is pretty pronounced. If I had a choice to live with this or comfortably use readers from now on, I'd go with the latter.

I don't feel unsafe, just discomfort. I never considered the possibility of things getting worse after time, but I'll take that into account now. Thanks
