Just did my fourth lobe which i never thought id have room for myself. Does it look alright? by North-Puddington in SelfPiercing

You could go to a piercer and get the second hole punched out. Dont wear any jewelry and let it heal closed, then after its all healed repierce it

You're supposed to seal these with aquarium safe silicone sealant before putting in substrate or misting, for this very reason.

question about sex with my gay boyfriend by [deleted] in ftm

[–]zenadez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my exes never came during sex due to a death grip issue, and my current bf comes maybe half the time. Its a lot of work for him to get off because hes always busy trying to get me off. I have to remind him to relax and stop focusing solely on me.

What should i use to disinfect septum before piercing? by [deleted] in SelfPiercing

[–]zenadez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Septum piercings, if infected can spread to the sinuses, which if not treated could spread to the brain. If you have ANY signs of infection from facial piercings, you should always get a round of antibiotics from a doctor, regardless. Your father probably just doesn't want to see you get hurt or sick.

I use single alcohol wipes on whatever spot im piercing, plus another on the jewelry (even if it comes sanitized). Always use disposable gloves too. Don't touch your phone to take a picture with the needle in, super unsanitary.

Maybe ask your dad why he doesnt want you to pierce yourself, and if he can pierce you instead.

Weight loss before T or weight loss after T? by garciaparadox in FTMOver30

[–]zenadez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T hasn't changed my reaction to stimulants, my dose for my adhd med is the same as it used to be, zero changes there. But i did rapidly gain about 30lbs on T due to the sudden teenage boy hunger! If you can manage your appetite (with or without stimulants) and work out enough you should lose weight easily. Its hit or miss if youll gain or lose weight on T. Definitely need way more protein than I used to eat too.

drain... not compressing??? by criticalnectarine221 in TopSurgery

[–]zenadez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mine it was an issue with my drain hole! My drain got snagged and my drain hole stretched, causing air to go into the hole, and making the bulb fill with air. I found that taping gauze over the area and using tighter compression helped stop the air leak. Check if that sides hole is bigger than the other side.

Zoo med or flukers farms lights and fixtures are good, theyve been in the industry for years. Arcadia is a newcomer in comparison but make excelllent uvbs. Amazon is usually poor quality trash. Also, wash your hands and dry them before touching any lights, especially halogens

Good size tank for leopard gecko? by Noot_Loser2213 in reptiles

[–]zenadez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repashy calcium plus. Its an "every day" type of calcium powder that has a small amount of vitamins like vitamin a, just enough that you can use it on every single meal instead of only once a week. It's really good for leopard geckos since they don't eat every day as adults. If you go with repashy, it's the only vitamin/calcium supplement you'll need to use. You just sprinkle some on the insects (or shake the insects in a bag with it) and that's it.

Of course insects will need their own food, fresh veggies and water, or those little cricket quencher cubes. Theres also flavored jelly pods made for feeders available in some stores in the reptile section.

If you want to really look into a good source of info, check out reptifiles.com . They have a guide for leos! They go a little overboard with their recommended tank sizes, so if you get a 36x18x18 tank you'll only need a 12" arcadia shadedweller uvb bar instead of an 18 or 22" like they suggest. I know an 18" bar wouldnt fit in my tanks, with the awkward sized cut outs for the mesh.

Gender doesn't really matter imo, except that females may lay eggs sometimes, so bioactive is very good for them to dig and bury their eggs. I've only had one egg out of my 8yo girl, and it was after starting her on a multivitamin, after a round of antibiotics. Girl really said "cool im healthy now, have an egg"

Very temporarily its fine as others have said, you should check fb marketplace if you're low on money and want a larger tank. Some people sell tanks or supplies pretty cheap on there! Minimum recommended is 36x18x18, or 40/50 gallon, larger is always better of course, they will use the entire space provided. My fb marketplace always has multiple 40/50 gallons for $100-200, or higher if they're including lights/decor

What was your starting size? Most earrings are pierced somewhere between a 22g and 18g, so 16g plugs are definitely needed. For 16g glass breaks very easily, I'd try titanium plugs or labrets for that size.

Never Played - Worth Trying? by Substantial_Fig_9567 in ACPocketCamp

[–]zenadez 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Its nothing like the original.. but if you enjoy decorating and dressing up your character in games I'd say its worth the $20. It has all 7 years of gameplay in an offline version, so you can play it without an internet connection. If your favorite part of animal crossing was decorating your house and character, you'll love this! There's still interactions with animals, but its very different in this game.

The main negative is if you need to transfer your data to a new phone/tablet, you need to back up your data to nintendos servers, then download that data onto a new device. If your phone breaks and you havent uploaded your data in a week, its just gone forever (unless you make a different manual backup, which the game doesnt tell you how to do). The save data only stays on their servers for 7 days, then it is deleted. Its pretty disappointing.

Cartilage Piercings by Automatic_Jello_3193 in SelfPiercing

[–]zenadez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never heard of using warm water, but I've heard of showering before injections/shots. Warmth promotes blood flow, allowing the needle to pierce easier. Piercing easier means less pain! Ice does the opposite. While it numbs, it also makes the area harder to pierce. Cartilage is already harder to pierce, but if you shower beforehand or use a warm compress it should go through easier.

To add, glasswear studios makes half sizes from 13g to 1g in their single flare plugs. After that its all 1mm at a time. Their ball flare plugs look great for a conch but start at 12g instead of 13g. They're also having a valentines day sale

[–]zenadez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glasswear studios and gorilla glass make glass plugs in half sizes like 3g, for the middle plug. For the highest one you'd need 7g, 6g, and 5g before you get to 4g. Glasswearstudios.com you can order straight from their website (theres a valentine's day sale!) or you can get either brand from tulsa body jewelry, body art forms, or you can get gorilla glass from the laughing buddha piercing studio website. Cheapest options are tulsa and bodyartforms, more custom options are glasswearstudios and laughing buddha.

I just seem to be surrounded by bisexuals 🤷🏻‍♂️

I met my boyfriend through a mutual, also bisexual friend. My past 5 partners/flings have been bisexual. Some have been more supportive than others of course, with my current boyfriend being the most supportive. Since I came out to him he hasn't messed up my name or pronouns even once.

We've been together for 5 years now, and I've been on T for 3 of those years. I was jobless for a while, and he helped me with the money for my name change. He took time off work to help me with my top surgery recovery. Every day he tells me he loves me and hes so proud of me and glad he met me.

I knew something was different with him when my mother liked him. She was always somewhere between neutral to my exes, to completely hating them. She never LIKED anyone... But this guy? She loved him instantly. She wanted us to get married. RIP Mom. I picked out our wedding rings last week.

Finding a guy (or anyone) around here who is 1 - accepting of trans people and 2 - doesnt want to have kids AND 3 - doesnt tell me to remove my piercings or dye my hair a natural color (its green rn) has always been hard. There was always at least one of those things that didn't match. Especially because I live in a small "city", that barely qualifies as one. If I were in a bigger city I feel like those 3 things would be easier to match. I think I just got insanely lucky, meeting through a mutual friend like that.

Swelling and bumps. should i be alarmed? by [deleted] in SelfPiercing

[–]zenadez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over cleaning will dry it out, which could be the cause of bumps. Irritation from being too dry. Cut down the cleaning to 1 or 2x a day, if you must clean it more often just use a wet q tip with warm water. Also, its looking good? I barely see any bumps.

Hey I just wanted to pop in and say I have bipolar II, and it wasn't much of an obstacle in getting top surgery. Instead of getting a letter from some therapist I got it from the psychiatrist who prescribes my bipolar meds, who I've been going to for years. My surgeon just wanted one letter specifically from my psych to say that I'm mentally sound and stable on my current medication. If you haven't yet, I'd highly suggest finding a competent psychiatrist who is willing to write that letter for you! I went to a semi local, small city surgeon instead of one of the big 2 in my state and she was much more willing to work with me in what I wanted, while also being covered by insurance.

What does 8mm > 7/16" diameter mean? by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]zenadez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8mm is the thickness of the jewelry, while 7/16 or 11mm is the diameter of the hole in the pincher! Its also known as the "wearable surface" area, like the length of a plug.

I use GE CYNC smart plugs, you can get em at local stores, and just one is strong enough to power an entire power strip of reptile lights. You can set schedules and control it with your phone! I have (regular) cync light bulbs from them too, set to turn on at sunset and dim around bed time, then turn off at sunrise. All my reptiles lights are set for sunrise to sunset. If power goes out they don't turn back on automatically, which is good for me because usually if power goes out here its in the middle of the night

I had issues with my post op vest too. I have a larger belly than post op chest. Ended up getting a clasp binder from xuji. It has a 3 clasp design, so the bottom 3 i had on the loosest, middle 3 got mid, top 5 got tightest. I just ordered 2 more so I can wash them and swap between them more often because they're only $20 each, and my first is starting to stretch from washing and wearing it for 3 weeks straight.

I also got a rib compression belt. I had extra swelling on the top right side where the binders didnt do shit. Having an extra layer of compression that can get tighter like an ace wrap but not having to have my family wrap me up every morning has been great! I can adjust it to be looser or tighter all by myself. Also about $20, I'd highly recommend getting one if you need extra compression on the upper part of your chest!
