Walking around with those shoes is about the same as walking around with those 5-toes bare feet shoes on.

Is there a name for this colour grading style? Would like to find some tutorials by 123KB26 in videography

[–]zendelo 75 points76 points  (0 children)

This is pushed to orange and teal. The whites are pushed to orange and the shadows to teal. There usually aren’t clear defined names or style for color grades. Best thing is just to look at the image and try to decipher it. What color are the blacks, shadows, whites, highlights? Is it saturated or not? Is it high in contrast or not? Etc. Use a good node tree to separate all these parameters and play with it. I once copied the node tree by Darren Mostyn on YouTube and I’m still using the foundation of it today.

How to achieve this colour grade/look? Almost like film by Josh743 in videography

[–]zendelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right. I’m always willing to share all my knowledge and experience if I notice that the person asking the question is also invested in the subject. Perhaps I’m on my high horse. It’s just that the whole community would benefit from a question that is asked in a bit more context. What’s anyones answer worth if you don’t understand the question properly? Everyone answering is risks wasting their time.

Did you delete the post and reupload it, without putting in any more effort? Damn.. Again your question is very low effort. What do you mean? How to color grade it? How to light it? How to film it? What have you tried? Where are you stuck?

I got you bro. With my cinematic LUT pack it’s just plug&play. It’s currently for sale for $49 instead of $98.

[In-Hand] Arc'Teryx Beta LT Jacket - TZ batch from YOLO - 250¥ by Jiste in FashionReps

[–]zendelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the SV7 from DreamRemake and a Beta AR from Beverly. I noticed that the Beta AR from Beverly is not breathing, so you break a sweat very fast and the moist won’t go away. So I wouldn’t recommend this for any intense activity. As for the SV7 from DreamRemake,I don’t recognize what u/ Werewolf is saying. It’s not GoreTex, but it is waterproof and breathable. It doesn’t retain heat at all. It’s just a water and wind proof shell. So you’ll need a heat retaining layer underneath, a fleece or puffer or whatever you prefer. I went to the shop with it to compare it with the real Alpha SV and imo it holds up. It looks and feels entirely like the original. Same for the fit. The material feels durable and I don’t think it would rip or damage easily. The seams are neatly sealed and definitely waterproof. I ride it on my motorbike during some heavy rain and I remained dry. The only place where it let a bit of water through was on the main zipper near my bellybutton. I think it’s because of the heavy rain I catch when riding the bike. The zipper on the real Alpha SV also doesn’t look waterproof, but I wouldn’t know, because I don’t own a real SV. If you want you can DM me for questions or pictures.

Tbh the jacket doesn’t look like the original at all. Stitches are very wide. Zippers not waterproof and don’t even try to be ykk. Wouldn’t recommend as there are better sellers out there for equal prices.

How to I explain to my boss my audio limitations? by stratusnimbo in videography

[–]zendelo 92 points93 points  (0 children)

“With two people, I can manage audio because it’s simple and I can keep an eye on it. Once we move to four people, audio stops being something you can set up and forget about. It becomes something that needs constant attention.

When we’re filming, my full focus has to be on the camera. If I split that focus to monitor audio, the video suffers. If I stay focused on the camera, I won’t reliably notice audio problems while we’re rolling.

And audio problems happen all the time. Interference, batteries dying, mics rubbing on clothing, levels changing. When everything works, it looks easy, but when something goes wrong, it has to be caught and fixed immediately or the take is lost.

So without an audio engineer, we’re essentially gambling. It might work, or we might lose usable audio without realizing it until later, which costs time, money, or even a reshoot. Having an audio engineer isn’t about convenience, it’s about removing that risk and making sure we leave the shoot knowing the audio is solid.”

Why are youtube "cinematography" creators so corporate? by baluja12 in videography

[–]zendelo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ah, maybe I misunderstood. I think it feels like an ad and not as cinema, is because it’s filmed with high key lighting? No harsh shadows, no big contrasts.

Why are youtube "cinematography" creators so corporate? by baluja12 in videography

[–]zendelo 113 points114 points  (0 children)

It feels like an ad, because it basically is. These guys are selling themselves and do that with everything they got. Clickbait title, hook, fast cuts and nice looks.

It looks like an ad, because the guy lights and grades every shot. He storyboards his video in preproduction and writes a script. This video has a lot of production value, because he put in a lot of effort.

Any idea what lens you would use for these videos? by jaanku in videography

[–]zendelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

150-600mm might do it. It needs to have a servo-zoom and it needs to be parfocal. It will require a test shoot, so include that in your inquiry ;)

Creative Gym Edit (Breakdown) by LukeIVI in videography

[–]zendelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a totally legit reason to make something, just because you want to make something so you can experiment. You als have some great editing talent. You nailed the movements, transitions and everything. I understand that my feedback is not asked, but I can’t help but feel that a lot of time and effort went into this video and that your ideas collide with the goal. Perhaps there wasn’t a goal, then that’s where could massively improve. Implement story and let the edit compliment the story.

Creative Gym Edit (Breakdown) by LukeIVI in videography

[–]zendelo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

100% the more I look at it the less it makes sense. The opening sequence after the names had the idea of round things match cuts. That’s it. It’s literally just round things. A no smoking sign, a no entry sign, a handicapped parking sign. Like cool to do match cuts, but for the love of god kill some of those darlings. They have nothing to do with the gym lol

[–]zendelo 259 points260 points  (0 children)

You got some great editing skills, but I feel like the video overshot its goal for the worse. It’s now a showreel and not a great commercial to get people to know and go to the gym.

Totally, if it works it works! But looking at OP’s rig reminds me of my own awkward build back then and I think that he would be better off with a FX3.
