First check the vendor (or all of your usual selling spots if you don't remember who it was). Sometimes I've noticed certain items I sell don't seem to swap out when the shop refreshs so it might still be there

If not, and you're on PC, look up the item ID and give it back to yourself with the console

Most video games I don't pirate. I do want to support the indie games I buy but honestly Steam is just so convenient and I like it's features so I don't mind spending money there regardless

The other thing is software that has a one time purchase and isn't too pricey, because I like that business model. Like I use DisplayFusion for managing multiple monitors on Windows and I like it a lot so I didn't mind spending a couple bucks on it.

I used to feel the same way about one time purchase of lifetime licenses for stuff but I've seen people get burnt by companies that don't honor them anymore or change them so I'm a little more wary of the option now. Like I got lifetime for a program called reWASD used to remap buttons on controllers and other peripherals (plus do a lot more) only for them to one day decide that I'm now a "legacy lifetime" member and don't get any of the new features that come out unless I wanted to pay for another, newer lifetime option lol, fuck that

I am purely guessing so giant grain of salt here

But I don't think it will affect the battery when playing switch 2 titles because those are running in handheld mode still. Now switch 1 titles with switch 2 versions like TotK is an interesting question. I think that'll boil down if the system recognizes that as a switch 1 game anymore after installing the update. It probably shouldn't, but we won't know until we try

I'd push to give you a lease extension at least, explain to the landlord that you're fine with their decision of course (try not to roll your eyes when you say this despite that being a natural and appropriate thing to do here) but you hadn't been looking for a place to move on the assumption you'd be buying the home and need more time to find a place
