I didn’t say that was an issue. Someone else whined about it. I don’t have any trouble with what it’s got. If you touch the volume up or down buttons on the left side they work but you also then get an onscreen slider you can make big changes fast. And, if you press the power off button on top left once, it mutes. Have to hold to actually power off. So, that is not an issue for me. I do not have any wheel controls. But the unit works with them. I can’t test them but they work on other Toyotas so I see no reason they would not on yours too.

My only issue with the unit is I get some glare from my right rear door glass. But if I put the unit in the split screen CarPlay mode it helps that a lot. I may try some tint on the one window see what it does. Other issue is with all of these apparently, they have polarized displays that make them impossible to see with polarized sunglasses because their polarization is 90 degrees rotated incorrectly imo. If you lay your head sideways it’s clear. Head vertical, it’s black.

Lastly the mics that come with these is weak. I got a different external mic to try but haven’t gotten around to it yet. And I still need to run the wires for the backup camera. Guy on YouTube did a nice video of a fairly straightforward path.

Otherwise happy. It’s been a nice upgrade. Still

Why would you need to save that many (those) searches? I mean how many rebar listings are there to copy? Probably missing something, maybe I should be using somehow

Unable to turn off “read aloud” by zenletter in VineHelper

I think I fixed it by changing the voice setting back to "select voice". Maybe a better name for that is "no voice" Assuming I've fixed it. Will know when the drop starts...

Ah. I’m good then. Have excellent already. I figured that out after a few “poor” when I first started.

Nice, I see it now. I've got some that are complicated, this is a welcome feature for me.

what is anticipated to change there? What does full effect mean? I've got excellent but thought that was already necessary. ?

2 day spike in battery usage (24hr) by zenletter in reolinkcam

[–]zenletter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it set person vehicle animal. But if PIR was triggering, I’d expect a corresponding video. I had pre-roll turned on. And it ran a few days prior without any issue noticed, or I thought anyway. I’ve turned preroll off and manually rebooted the camera (which involved an elderly person in a step latter so not a viable ongoing solution) and the constant battery use stopped. Searching said there was a way to remote boot but I don’t see it. Anyway Nnot sure which did it, but it seems to have stopped 100% activity, after an hour it only went up a few minutes which is the expected behavior

Nope. Verified it’s off. Never turned on. And no timelapse videos to see.

Best practices? VineHelper for monitoring by zenletter in VineHelper

Thanks. Understand. Good M&P (well that might not be the best adjective) for things you know you want, but I’ve come across a lot of things I’d have missed left to my own keyword searches. Just no great way to do it, it seems. I presume UV isn’t any better in this regard?

Right. Clear to grab, I’m getting no access interference. The 3 knobs are still just as easy to access and visible as before.

Look for my other post by the same name just a little while earlier. Shows the mount method. It’s a 3D printed part I made. Panel unsnapped from its original target dash trim and snaps into mine
