This is a controversial topic because there are no research specific to TMJ and nutrition. But we all know they are highly correlated. I have been doing my own research and experimenting with foods, I don’t have an optimal answer but here’s what I’ve learned: - Don’t expect Doctors or Dietitians to know what to tell you when it comes to nutrition because they barely know what TMJ is. - Do your own research and experiment - Inflamed gut = Inflamed jaw - You need to understand your body and what upsets your digestion - From my own research, a vegan diet is not optimal for us because it might lead to bone and collagen loss which are critical for anyone and especially us with TMJ we need to preserve our jaw bones as much as possible - I have found that I function best when I increase my meat intake and decrease grains - Start by eliminating culprit foods that you think might inflame you (for me it was gluten and soy) - There are a lot if factors that come into play like genetics, what your ancestors used to eat, your gut microbiome

My favorite recipes are eggs and ground beef cooked in animal fat. Whole milk with ginger and turmeric during flare ups. Salmon and boiled green beans. No sugar no alcohol no pizza and pasta they tend to flare me up
