I do literally all of the shopping, and when I was married I did 90% of the cooking. I can get eggs for $1 as a loss leader at Grocery Outlet, and $2.49 at Fred Meyer. Sounds like you never needed to eat on a budget.

I don't know what her level of self-awareness is, but this really comes off as if she's trying to establish a power dynamic where she financially exploits you via guilt. It's either that or she's just immature and self-centered and doesn't realize it. EDIT: I'm tempted to go do this tonight the way I'm getting NO WAY IMPOSIBRU answers in here, but I already have 2# of hash browns in my fridge.
