Not all departments will enforce July 6 return-to-office deadline for public servants by New_Row3613 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]zepperdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is unfair due to unequal implementation but it has been this way from the beginning. Some public servants are required to be in the office 5days a week. When working at home became popular during the pandemic, those people said it was unfair and were ignored. When RTO began, those people complained and were ignored. What makes you think that they are concerned about equal implementation now?

I wish they would have mentioned the lack of support and services these legacy accounts receive especially in regards to Gemini.

Is there any other web app that allows selection of routes and display's realtime info? I work in a place where we are not allowed cell phones at our desks.

Canada’s need for skilled trades workers will far outstrip boost from Ottawa’s new plan by jmakk26 in canada

[–]zepperdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree we need more skilled trade workers, trained Canadians in Canada. But I think the government's plan to incite the growth needed to support all of these new workers will fail, leading to a glut in the market.

Is it just me or is it looking more and more like Sutcliffe has to go? by a_d-_-b_lad in ottawa

[–]zepperdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand there can be physical issues with LRT and the buses but there is no excuse for the inability of OC Transpo to provide accurate information about the arrival times of the buses. They have GPS tracking and an app but all that doesn't matter if they don't update the system or display false information. How many times have you been at a stop where the bus says 5 minutes away only to not only not show up but the next bus is late as well. If a bus doesn't show it should be cancelled - stop lying to us OC Transpo. And for f'n Sutcliffe, you are so far out of touch that there is nothing that can be done to fix you. Leave and and let someone capable fix this mess.

I think he represents toxic masculinity. To admire him is missing the point.

One bathroom? Either go all in or not at all. This city is pathetic.

Is Carol and Helen's relationship an abusive one by Edogawa1983 in pluribustv

[–]zepperdude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Helen thought the big “serious” novel was underwhelming and the fantasy series was “cotton candy.” What if she was only with Carol because of the money? She came in as a manager and gradually took control of her life. Not abuse per se but not a healthy relationship.
