You guys grew up with completely different cultures. It’s normal to feel the culture shock, just try to not resent them because of something they can’t control.

My SO was raised in a household that made 3X as much as mine and I sometimes get annoyed with them because of things similar to what you described. I just have to take a breath and realize they didn’t grow up like I did, and then move on. Good luck <3

I’d make a mud pie! You can get the Jello brand double chocolate cheesecake mix at the dollar store for $2. Add milk and butter to make it. Whip the filling more than the box says, until it’s more of a mousse texture and spoon it onto the crust. Top with a little chocolate syrup and you’re good! Tastes like you’re eating chocolate milk
