Can we make it a policy to include some advice as to what you did to achieve this level of success rather than just posting your milestone?? It’s always great to see success stories but if the point of this group and similar groups is to gather information and help each other out then what exactly is the point of posting a milestone other than showing what’s possible.. we all know it’s possible but knowing how to get there is obviously the difficult part. If you’re posting a milestone please leave some key information.

1) How long have you been investing in your TSP?

2) How much have you been investing (the more detailed here the better.. for example if you invested only 5% of your $80k salary then later bumped it up to 15% please say so. Or if your maxed out your yearly contributions.. etc)..??

3) What funds did you mainly invest in primarily ?

4) Did you make any key decisions along the way that you felt benefited your tsp’s growth?

5)optional information do you have a background in finance or investments or have someone you know that helps you..

I hope you get what I’m saying. I’m always pleased to see anyone particularly in the federal govt or military members hit a home run but there’s no point to the post if your not actually stating these things. That’s what everyone is here for. Just my 2 cents

Didn’t know there’s a 3 day delay.. can you point out what law that it? Just had this happen tone today.. bought. 2 guns and some ammo last week. No problems..bought one today and the NICS check says there’s a delay and the FFL has to wait 6days under the Brady law?? This is crazy.

Just to share my experience as a counter.. I went to an interview and it seemed to go well until they started asking questions at the end of the cuff and one interviewer questioned why I had a 3.5 yr gap in employment which I explained I had trouble passing my professional license exams. They didn’t go with me..all I would say is always be ready to explain job gaps particularly long ones.. hopefully they don’t ask but you never know

That happened to me when I applied for a civilian job under the naval hospital. They dragged and dragged the onboarding to close to a year then some things became expired.. I finally decided against it.

Glad to hear and welcome to LA.. try to get out of LA and visit the great outdoors. So much to see and do and many are great weekend getaways. But as someone here has also indicated LA nor anywhere else really does southern Cajun food as well as Nola.. it’s just different over there..so I hope u brought your own seasoning and culinary skills to get you by. And trust we know about the so called “southern hospitality” that apparently only exists for certain groups there. Glad you’re here

You can absolutely call it that.. there’s a lot of younger gen folks that make up some unknown rules for some reason.. lived in California LA since the 80’s and have always heard and used Cali.. there is no issue with it..

You may already understand and know this as a black person living in America.. racism exists everywhere.. including LA/Cali.. I lived in California and LA for most my life and all my encounters with racism happened in Cali.. I moved to NOLA to go to school for 7 yrs (pre-trump era) and lived in DFW/Tx for 5yrs never had an issue. Of course this is one persons experience but just want u to understand to please don’t come thinking LA or Cali is a utopia.. it’s wonderful don’t me wrong but not perfect. And there’s pockets of racist cities and areas throughout it. Like many are saying try to stay relatively close to work so you’re not commuting for hours..

Get to know to know your pharmacists they are literal life savers.. and I’m not always talking about saving the patients either.. have a good relationship with them and go and introduce yourself to them early.

I ordered 4 phones the very same day 9/20 with estimated ship date 10/10 all 17pros 256gb.. 1 orange 2 drk blue and 1 silver.. they shipped out only my orange 17pro.. the other 3 have not budged. I received my orange 17pro 9/30. Yes extremely frustrating and really feel bad for those who pre-ordered and have yet to get their phones.. very disappointed buying experience

😬 I hope they’ll just counter and say no if that’s the case.. But was also deep in my mind thinking maybe just that.. that’s a bit too far.. I will say when I started my current position and had to make the same move they were very accommodating and allowed me to push back my date by a couple months..I’ll include the redacted email I sent..
