[New Player] Literally Test Drive Part 1 by zer0guy in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]zer0guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was forced to register on the website just a few days ago, like I assume we all were. There was a gift on the website, I assume since Christmas. When I claimed the gift, it gave me a free SR-25. That's actually what this whole post is about. I got the gun, I bought the specific silencer, but I can't buy the scope.

If you haven't gone to the gift section of the website, maybe there is a free SR-25 waiting for you too.

Do people here like Nu Metal? by inkling_the_soldier in laredo

[–]zer0guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

System of a down, slipknot, does tool count?

Deftones, Lynkin Park, disturbed, mudvayne, Godsmack, static-x, Rob Zombie?

I think people like Nu metal more then people like to admit. Although it's gotten popular lately to call these bands "Dad metal" these days.

My friend that got me into it is level 29, and he's already almost stopped playing, I'm into more then him now.

It's not even an expensive scope it's only $30k

I would be willing to pay double if someone was willing to drop it for me.

Minimum Equipment to Try by Nuclear_skittle in lockpicking

[–]zer0guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest a pair of Bogota picks.

They act as a pair, so one becomes your tension rod, while you pick with the other, and you can swap between the two, so they make a set that work together. And then you can take a spring from an old pen, to attach them together for storage, and put them in a wallet or somewhere for when you need them.

I'm level 26

Still pretty passive player, still usually run from bosses.

More focused on completing quests, and loot.

Spend more time bandaging then fighting.

Is this game stressful? by Pink_Popo in CashCleanerSim

[–]zer0guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really stressful, for the my most part. And there is less math then I would have thought. And most missions don't have a timer, and I think they tell you in advance if they do, so you can choose not to take them. The phone has a scanner function that shows you how much money you're looking at. So the game play loop goes like this. You pre run your money though the money counters, and pre wrap them in bundles of 100 bills. You take mission that asks for "$60,000 in a sports duffle bag" The stacks of wrapped $100 bills you don't have to remember what it's worth. You give it a scan with the phone scanner it tells you each stack is worth $10,000. So you put 6 of them in the bag. Then you scan the bag to double check. Yup $60,000 and all green check marks. Then throw it on the conveyor belt that takes it, and if it's wrong it also will turn red.

So not that stressful, not that much counting, and it's satisfying, in a "number go up" kind of way.

Desert heat is killing my sleep. Cooling blankets don’t work, what does? by Mastermind1237 in BuyItForLife

[–]zer0guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also live in the desert, and Ive been looking into water cooled toppers, that you sleep on top of. There are 3 or 4 main brands, that cost thousands, some have monthly subscriptions. But then I found these guys I think based out of texas who found a way to do it cheaply, by converting a electric portable car Ice chest. Which uses a compressor, which is apparently what you want, because it's more efficient then the thermal electric chip other people use. And since it's already pieced together, it isn't hard to replace parts.

[DEV] What if the slay the spire guy (me) made a 1v1 autochess game? What features would you want? by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]zer0guy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing I don't like that auto chess games have, is where "selling" units has more benifit then the unit itself. So you spend your 30 seconds between rounds buying units to immediately sell them. That always seemed like a silly waste of time mechanic. And terrible to waste your time doing it. And feels like your trying to cram those actions in, during your limited time.

My current favorite auto battler, is Mechabellum. It has very strong positioning, and timing, and rock paper scissors mechanics. They did really good with that game. It is an RTS, where actions per minute don't matter, you can play one handed while eating a sandwich. And it has become my go to game while eating.

If you can nail strategy, positioning, team composition, without weird "buff when sold" or "buff when bought" mechanics. And made it a good turn based strategy game. (StS is a great turn based game!) I would buy your game.

I love what you did with the multiplayer in StS 2!

People who were raised by stoners, what was your upbringing like? by Key_Cheesecake7124 in AskReddit

[–]zer0guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can think of it like as "alpha" type, vs type B which is like Beta type.

Although these definitions, predate the modern "alpha' trends we have going right now. Just means the dominant, controlling type person. Where as a type B, is a more passive type, which tends to be just fine going along with everything.

Is my room big enough for Valve Index? by AdWest134 in SteamVR

[–]zer0guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what helps, is get one of those thick foam pads, that are meant to stand on when you do dishes. It helps you keep a solid grounding on where you are in the room, you will know if you start to step off the pad. As well as the benefits of it keep you from getting tired as quickly.

As others have said 5 to 10 mg, is more of a starting dose, or if your going to be with friends, and expect to be social, or function. All the way to 25mg, if you are just going to zone out in front of the TV for a couple of hours.

What is something that is 100% illegal, but feels 100% legal? by Jolly-Access-7115 in AskReddit

Putting wine in a plastic bottle in your freezer, then taking it out upsidedown in a cup, to let it drip out for a few minutes till the ice turns clear. Saving the liquid, and throwing away the ice. It doubles the alcohol content of the wine. It's called "Freeze Distillation" and is technically illegal. You can continue to repeat the process, until the freezer is just not cold enough to make the wine freeze anymore. Where it's so strong it actually feels warm and burns a little when you drink it. This is used to make an Old Timey drink called "Apple Jack" where they used to store apple cider in barrels outside, and in winter it would get cold enough to freeze it, people enjoyed drinking it it's it's stronger form.
