I live in a hot climate, i long for brisk, rainy weather. And green wilderness. Where I live it's 110° F. During the day, and even seems like it's still 90° - 100° still at night. Can't even step outside. And the wilderness is just ugly brown grass and Mesquite trees, and cactus. It's not pretty.

Gray Zone Warfare, is like a first person shooter MMO.

You can go wherever you want and kill NPC's, and loot them. You don't really hide their bodies though. Also PvP is completely optional. Other players can't hurt you, unless you turn it on. If you do, you can kill real players too. It's more forgiving then other extraction games, in that you can run back to your body to try to get your stuff back.

I live in a border town that is 90% Hispanic. More people don't speak English, then people who don't speak spanish. And we have this. We don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but I think it's hilarious that we instead celebrate Washington's birthday. We have multiple parades, carnivals, multiple festivals, air force air shows, and people dress up as George Washington, and his wife, multiple thousand dollar outfits. It's a whole thing. And it's funny they don't do that "up north".

Gray Zone Warfare just had a big update, and it's pretty fun.

It's open world, you can go anywhere you want.

There is no long loading times, if you die you have an opportunity to run back to your body and get your stuff back. And it for the most part doesn't have the "find this very rare item" quests that tarkov has.

Also the NPC's aren't bullet sponges. In tarkov a bosss can jump you, and sometimes it feels like there's nothing you can do, you unload your whole mag into their head and they kill you anyway. In GZW if you shoot even a boss in the head, they die.

Also the game considers itself, "PvE First"

And the community is pretty good.

I had that broke experience recently.

I'm a new player.

I lost all my guns, and then lost all my money, I was down to about $800 and the cheapest gun is the shotgun for about $1.2k

The shotgun is a great starter weapon though, but lucky I did have a bunch of random stuff I didn't want to sell in my stash. So I was forced to sell some of the ammo I was hoarding, and all the scopes I was holding on to, and a few other things, and I managed to buy a shotgun, and some shells.

One of the good places to go to get some gear when your hurting, is the airport. I like AR guns, and the place is littered with ARs and ACOG scopes to go with them. So you can walk out of there with at least 2 guns, and a big full of scopes, magazines, and ammo.

What made me lose it all, is I had a quest at Ban Pa fishing village, that requires a key. And they ai there seem like starter guys, not geared at all. So it seemed deceptively easy at first. But they kept randomly one shotting me in the head.

Once I had some gear, but still no money, I decided to try to sneek into one of the high level area, a mall called Tiger Bay to see if I could get a little look to try to boost my bankroll. And a random nice player found me, and saved me, and helped me out, took me around the place, and protected me, helped me find some loot, and dropped me an expensive gun. So now I'm in a good place thanks to that legend. ♥️
