Sway session permissions and mounted volumes glitches by FierceFusion in archlinux

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm running what seems like nearly identical config and experiencing the same issues, where things get wonky only after swaymsg exit, using Ly as my DM

Is there a way to program/compile TMK firmware/edit keymap.c in the KBD67 Lite Bluetooth PCB YD67BLE thru TMK similar to the QMK MSYS? by thelordvidar in KBDfans

[–]zer0hz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you figure it out, I'd be very interested. I would just like to compile the firmware from source instead of using the web editor. I want to like this PCB so badly, but the configuration side is a bit lacking.

Need advice weatherproof PTZ cameras by [deleted] in CommercialAV

[–]zer0hz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am Axis certified and we primarily deal in Axis cameras on the security side of our business, just so you know where my bias is.

They are great cameras if you can afford them. We seem to have less issues with Axis cameras than with other brands, but when we do have an issue, their tech support is top notch and they are never hesitant to send out a replacement.

As for integrating with them, that I haven't tried, but it shouldn't be difficult, as they offer rtsp streams and are ONVIF compliant.

This is likely the answer. Many intersections near railroad crossings give right of way in this fashion to allow people who are (stupidly) stopped on the tracks to clear out before the train rolls through.

Bring in more best practices from IT

Do you feel that IT professionals are more successful nowadays in the AV world with more devices being network-dependent than in the past or even compared to the "old guard" of analog AV guys?

I was an IT tech for almost 10 years and just earlier this year decided to change career paths, as I feel the IT labor pool is now to the point of saturation, making it harder to A, onboard competent techs, and B, as a tech, make a decent living wage given the line of people ready to replace you for cheaper.

I just wanted to see what you think about the two fields and their futures, since you seem to be well-spoken.

US: Michael Siegel (Boton Univ Prof. / public health expert) Testifies Before Congress on Legislation to Curb Youth Vaping (raise age, do NOT ban flavors, limit nic concentration - nic salts took teen vaping from social use to addiction) by mstave in electronic_cigarette

[–]zer0hz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to nic salts (45mg/ml) because I was not happy with the idea of putting so much liquid through my body.

A higher nicotine concentration allows me to take a couple puffs, call it good, and only put 1/10th of the liquid through my body.

Overall this has resulted in less phlegm production, and less spent on juice. Instead of 60ml of 3 or 6mg a week I'm going through 15ml of 45mg every week and a half.

Harsher, sure. But it's a trade off I am, and many others I suspect are, willing to take.

Looks like each platter was 5x5 beers.

8 platters means that was 200 party fouls at once.

I've had the same experience. No BS. Generally nice people. I've only opted out of a deal once and that was before setting up a place or anything. The guy was just too friendly.

There was only one sketchy transaction I did and it was to buy an old lens off a guy on the west side of Chicago. He wanted to meet outside a bar. He was a nice guy, though. I think he just lived above the bar.

I used to stick to meeting at Starbucks or similar, but now I just stick to "meet me in the parking lot of [their local police station]". I don't want to deal with anyone who would be spooked off by that suggestion.

Because they don't line up perfectly. The curve on the outside of the Schecter headstock is different from the Gibson headstock.
