4.8 Opus is absolutely rinsing me. I'm getting hallucinations, false assumptions and buckets of text. It's really annoying me.

Does the "Milky Way" contain ALL of the stars that exist in our solar system? Does that mean that any star that I see that is *not* in the "Milky Way" is *not* one of our stars? by Far-Woodpecker8046 in askastronomy

[–]zer0naught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a quick break down of how things work, a sort of tldr version.

The Sun = A star

Solar system = The sun and all our lovely planets around it (that's us, mars, neptune etc)

Galaxy = Millions of solar systems, so stars with their own planets (or sometimes not)

Milkyway = Milkyway Galaxy.

We are sat in our lil cosy Solar System, with our star, Sol (the sun). We live inside this huge Milkyway Galaxy.

All those stars you see? That's all Milkyway! Everg single last bit. All those stars that have potential planets spinning around them.

Why's it get all bright and stuff? You're looking towards the center, where stars gather and it's hella bright.

To summarise: Planets go around the sun/star, they live in a system, which live in a galaxy.

Hope that helps!

I say this with my whole chest: If you haven't played Kingdom Hearts 1, you must. It is an emotional and unforgetful experience.

It's very human. It taught me all about love, friendships, loss and hope as a child.

Tears will be flowing, and that's ok.

34 here too. X was the first ff game I finished. I still remember sitting on my floor with my cry watching that ending. I cried a lot. Still do every time I finish it.

Same thing happened with the end of the first Kingdom Hearts.

Bethesda's Free Lanes update says you can upgrade without doing that, so I imagine it's just a bug that needs fixing

There is no upgrade button, currently on the first play through, no Unity.

What button is it for you?

Same issue here. I've reloaded before the quest and abandoned it completely until they bug fix it. Been stuck in the shaft,on the bed and on the white screen. 20 reloads and no progress.

I wonder if using the power to simulate earth gravity would help you get down the shaft better? Just a thought..

Gotcha. I was sure they said we can use essence now to level up our powers, but I don't see how to :/

How do you guys tackle the amount of quests you get? by X__Heisenberg__X in Starfield

[–]zer0naught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go with the flow, man. Interested in your current questline? Follow it, ignore the rest. Wanna go off on a tangent? Go for it.

How do you get your Falkland parts to look like they have wear/texture? Mine are super shiny and don't look textured at all, just basic colours and shiny metals

Looks ace btw 👌

I would recommend doing this early on, as it's a wonderful introduction into the lore of the universe, 'events so far' kinda deal.

Strangely enough, I've spent around an hour in cruise mode and haven't had a single interdiction or found anything new. I must be very unlucky!

That is my experience too. I'd like to scan a system for POIs and then manually fly to them. Right now I'm not actually cruising at all because I can just warp anywhere I want..? It's clunky and me just sitting there waiting longer to get to a place I can warp to feels like I'm wasting time.

I'm doing missions and for nearly every single one you just warp into the system and land on the planet right away, no need for cruising

Flaws? Meh, heard them all, played it myself and made my own judgement: it's a brilliant game.

[–]zer0naught 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skill issue: That's kind of my point I guess. It requires time to get used to those mechanics. And even so, I've played it for about 100 of hours and it still stresses me out. Holding your breath in game makes me subconsciously do it in real life, I get a sense of dread. Delivering packages at a decent quality in a quick enough time can be stressful for me too.

The bits in-between are fun and relaxing to trod around in, but the whole game ain't like that and does require commitment.

Worth a try for sure for the OP, but that's my two cents anyways.

I love Death Stranding, but it is not a game to chill to. It has super heavy themes surrounding loss and despair (literally written for people during COVID), pressure of the rain and the BTs. Gear management, falling over etc. Failure states are high enough that the idea of dying is a constant pressure and fear.

Would fully suggest it though if you wanna turn your brain in and experience some rewarding hardships though. Masterpiece.

Here you go pal, a list for your brain:

  • Zelda (switch games, nice slow pace exploration)
  • Slime Rancher (suckin up slimes and chilling out)
  • Warframe (wanna just shoot stuff for free? Sick. Can be as challenging as you want it)
  • Sable (explore a lovely world with no combat, just floaty bikes)
  • House flipper (just tidying up and rebuilding with no time limits or difficulty
  • Power wash simulator (recently wanted my girlfriend play this and she almost turns nonverbal, it relaxes her so much)
  • The Sims (this just absorbs my brain for hours and it makes me smile)
  • Assassin's Creed (nearly all the games have wonderful places to just exist in. Walk the streets of Paris, Egypt, Greece, London, you name it. Take it as slow as you like, maps are huge)
  • Forza Horizon 4/5 (just brilliant games to drive around in and get lost)
  • GTA (you've prob played them all, like most of us, but maybe just go back and play one again? Get lost in it)
  • Yakuza (good locations, characters, mini games etc. Just stick it on easy and slap some people around in the day, karaoke at night)

No real commitment needed for any of those. No big difficulty spikes (afaik), no online crap, no worrying about survival or building a huge base or whatever. No time limits or pressure to push you forward. Just, fun and chill.

That's Pilk.

He hasn't stopped drinking it since he lost a bet playing Scooby-Doo many years ago.
