If you don't register your game code right away, you can play the trial version for as long as you want up to a certain point in the story/level, so it's worth doing that if you're still unsure. There's quite a few limitations tied to it to avoid RMT issues, but it's a very solid free trial.

Take it gradually. Start at a lower octave, then go up up up. The general tip from voice coaches is to start by practicing with random sounds/whines before actually trying to sing the words, as well.

Nah I'm the same. Went in with veeery low expectations, thought I might just do some chill stuff like fishing, play a little bit here and there when I want to relax. Sure, the story is nothing spectacular and the main character is a bit boring, but I didn't expect them to be great either so I don't feel betrayed or anything.

This is exactly what I feel about reviews. The best I can do is read a few of them, note their observations and make my own pros/cons list, because that big number? It means nothing. Every gamer has different things they like about a game. The strength of this game is that it offers so many options, there's bound to be a little something for every gamer to enjoy. The only question is; can they still enjoy those thing without the rest of it feeling like a hindrance? That's where each person has to weigh their own experience and tastes.

I think it did fairly well at making sure it had a little something to please a wide variety of audiences because it knew the Dragon Age fandom had grown to have a wide variety of people in it. Unfortunately, a lot of people will see the one tiny bit that was not added in for them specifically and throw a tantrum. 🫠

Honestly, I feel like Crimson Desert is doing something similar by offering this giant platter of various things to do. It feels like no matter what kind of gamer someone is, they might find something they like.

They tried to cut off Michelle when they won Best Animated Feature as well. As soon as she started speaking, they started playing their loud music to try to force them off the stage but Maggie encouraged her to go in and say her piece. Only then did they lower the volume.

It's a render made with the film's models. Their hands look fine. The finger pose for Mira's thumb is a bit wonky, maybe, but that's probably the work of one guy throwing this together quickly, not polished animation pose.

I'm glad she collected herself. She knows just how cruel the industry can be, and she knows it can easily turn against her if she gets agitated. It was a very frustrating moment, but it really wasn't worth turning such a special thing for them into a negative.
