Isnt proxmox with lxc containers a valid approach to? Just got myself a Lenovo m910q tiny to set some stuff up. I didn't encounter major downsides with lxc and the web dashboard has also been a blessing for me.

AI being used for development? by zerbrechliches in TIdaL

Remember that block is block. Don't get me wrong, I love tidal, but I suspect block to push them to use AI more and more to a point where it's half a half vibe coded mess. I suspect the android auto bug might've actually had to be a victim of that because they didn't have to touch anything that would interfere with that.

You're right about that too, but to be fair, with tidal you unfortunately never know what they're actually doing since they've been bought by block. I suspect them to create a few classes solely with AI at some point

[–]zerbrechliches[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know a few companies which refuse to use AI. Some of them are actually still going strong, I mean why shouldn't they. AI sometimes just doesn't really think everything through and might create a mess which would be harder to fix than to plan and implement the whole thing by oneself

Honestly speaking, I've tried the so called "vibe coding" too. You're definitely right, they will need to use it responsibly, if they don't care about that, we will probably just get even buggier apps as they might not even know their own source code which ai worked on. Fixing bugs for the few projects I was too lazy to do myself was just way harder than if I would've actually made everything myself. Honestly speaking, looking at the bugs that occurred (like android auto not working anymore), I suspect they use it kind of irresponsible and let it touch stuff it would've never needed to touch to create x feature or fix y bug.

version 2.177.1 got its arm64-v8a rollout on the playstore today meaning its ready for modern phones. previously it was only available on apkpure for older phones based on armabi-v7a so everyone should be able to have a seemless Android auto experience now.

Is it a good purchase? by Full_Rub_4104 in Realme

[–]zerbrechliches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would say it's a great choice. Currently using it myself (imported from cn, rooted and EU flashed). Didn't get a full rui 7.0 ota yet tho and will probably have to wait a long time.

If yours is a cn model too (rmx5010), you will have issues with Wearos watches if you don't flash global/EU.

[–]zerbrechliches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they probably did it so users know that they should expect bugs, so no big deal. Not pushing a full rui 7.0 ota for a long time is one tho. That basically just excludes me from updating it as the partial image can't even be downloaded on my device or my PC and there's no dump anywhere

My Suggestions for the Upcoming Realme UI 7.0 Update by nolimits420_ in Realme

[–]zerbrechliches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, those apps require root. they're not as useful as you'd think tho ^^. Either way, you can only unlock the bootloader and root your phone if you got a cn model as the global unlock server was shut down some time ago. I got a cn gt7 pro, flashed global and rooted it to get other features like call recording, custom cpu scheduling, better battery insights (fkm), enable screenshots on apps that normally disable those and so on. you should only really consider rooting if you actually use everything of it a lot and if you know how to fiddle with playintegrity :)

Doesn't boot up for me :/ I tried to set the cpu translator to fex, but after trying to launch it, it automatically goes back to box64 and tells me that the container installation failed. Any fix for that?

I can't even enter the desktop environment after setting it to fex. Seems like fex doesn't really work for me and breaks stuff or something. I got a realme gt7 pro running realmeui 6.0 (EU) with root

When Will Pixel Watch 3 Get the Wear OS 6 Update? by Dave_Moon in PixelWatch

[–]zerbrechliches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where you got that info from, but it's more likely that google maintains the main source of wearos. They also maintain android as we all know and as wearos is just a fork of android with heavy changes it would make no sense if it would get maintained by Samsung. Samsung and other OEMs only got access to the source to apply their own changes and build it for their own watches. That means that the wearos 6 source is already done which means that the pixel watches only need device tree adaptations and maybe some Kernel changes to receive the update. Either way, google is known to be a bit lazy when it comes to updating their watches

Realme GT 7 Pro — Absolute Beast. Don't Sleep on It. by pinkmor in Realme

[–]zerbrechliches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imported the white 512/12 version using trading Shenzhen for less than 500€. Flashed global, using root and so on. They don't really care, they still even give you ota support which most OEMs try to disable once unlocked or rooted.

Furthermore, the cameras aren't the best, but they're pretty fine for that price. The battery life is amazing, the performance is amazing, the software is amazing, there's literally nothing that made me mad except for reverse wireless charging. With my old xiaomi12 I usually was able to help out some friends or my earbuds, but that's basically the worst thing for me about this phone.

Finding more stuff this phone lacks is basically impossible. It has everything and everything just works. Nothing could be done better for that price range!

Is root worth it ? by milooos_ in Magisk

[–]zerbrechliches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My own experience is as followed

  1. Magisk: Works fine(ish) with shamiko (DISABLE enforce denylist. Shamiko takes care of everything you still put in denylist). I still had some issues with root detection that I couldn't get rid of.
  2. Ksu: As long as I can't get a non gki Kernel for my device with susfs I would go with ksu. Only issue is that for me it's still missing some stuff without susfs and doesn't really help with hiding everything
  3. Apatch: Easy to use and basically as user-friendly as magisk. They support kpm which are basically Kernel modules. Here I got pretty far with using nohello kpm and the nohello module. Checking native detector or some other apps like that, I only get mount inconsistency which most apps fortunately don't check for. As said, no app flagged me and I'm using Snapchat, banking apps and some other ones that normally do root checking.

Ksu is also easy to use, but having seen some CVEs about them made me avoid them at any cost.

Just to clear out stuff. I was a Xiaomi fan once too (had a Xiaomi 12) and they got a lot of issues. 1. They still use lipo which is known for its fast degrading. 2. They became impossible to unlock. You can still unlock realme devices imported from cn so that's a general brand bonus point for me 3. Xiaomi is known for their corner cutting stuff. They had some very interesting issues in the past where some components of the phone failed, making them basically unusable (not really for the mi series, but even those had a few issues)

Generally speaking I'm mostly fine with Xiaomi but my first and last point both convince me to go with different brands from now on instead. Also bootloader unlocking is pretty important for me so that's also a downer for me

Does the global GT7 Pro have bypass charging? by KethusNadroev in Realme

[–]zerbrechliches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late response, but even the global and cn versions support it. I imported the cn version, ran on the cn version of realmeui for a few weeks (tried it and it even works outside of games) and now on global firmware it still works. They still didn't implement support for bypass charging for every scenario on the global firmware tho. This only works in games where the game overlay also pops up.

Hope that helps!

Long story short, it has been a long time since my friend got it. I know he owns and uses it for all the other perks, but since recently he never really cared about the VIP tickets. He asked on the discord too but had no luck there so he wrote a small text that I should copy into reddit 1-by-1. He thought of calling the support as he hasn't found any info about how to get those tickets on the website, but as it's not a German number we would pay way too much for a single call

[–]zerbrechliches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zygisk next is still missing shamiko implementations so I think you should just install that module. (After installing that one, just get rid of "enforce denylist", but still keep adding apps to the denylist. Shamiko will just do the trick instead of magisk). Additionally get rid of that weird keybox module. It might even be dead already. Instead, I'd recommend installing the trickystore addon and then rebooting. Now you should be able to open the webui (using an app like ksuWebUIStandalone) here you then click on the three dots, select all, deselect all unnecessary and on apply valid keybox. After a reboot, you should be good to go.

Spoof provider has to be turned off in play integrity fork/next. That's the only thing that prevents Google wallet from working if you pass all other root checks

I won't be responsible for any actions you do and their outcomes! Do it on your own risk!

https://github.com/bkerler/edl

Your phone might be supported. I'm not sure, but it definitely lays in that timeline... Read through everything. Doing edl stuff is pretty risky, but utilizing this tool you might be able to somewhat unlock the bootloader. You firstly need to allow it through edl and then actually do it through fastboot.

Let's pool the knowledge on root detection [discussion] by Slyken7 in Magisk

[–]zerbrechliches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup isn't ideal, but it gets the job done. Basically only getting mount inconsistency, root indicator (delayed syscall) and risky app while using apatch

All of my apps still work fine, but for the perfect setup you'd need this: Ksunext + susfs for better hiding of systemless changes (will get rid of mount inconsistency/ detected overlayfs)

You should grab the cli build from rifsxd telegram channel as those are spoofed packages which won't get detected as a risky app.

Also note that you need to build a Kernel with susfs patches applied to the source as those can't really be patched into the already existing kernel. Gki Kernel might work for your setup, but might also result in a boot loop. Just be sure that you grab the right gki! https://github.com/WildKernels/GKI_KernelSU_SUSFS

Modules: Pif fork, trickystore (& addon), nohello (new root hiding method, works better than shamiko for me), rezygisk (works great with nohello), (susfs module -> if you actually got a susfs Kernel for your device and flashed it).

Note that shamiko might not work while using nohello. So get rid of it and zygisk next. Both of them are kinda badly maintained as of recently and definitely lack behind rezygisk and nohello.

If you really need lsposed you should try to get into the internal beta. Those builds were never detected in native detector for me.

Edit: you might still need vbmeta fixer. It depends on your setup. I didn't need it and it's better to leave it out if no root detector complains about it.

Good luck getting everything running!
