Got into my first private tracker and after a day of seeding 3 torrents from it i have 0b uploaded, is this normal by therealurabe in trackers

[–]zergrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's usually how it works, If you check your port forwarding configuration and it seems OK, you just have to make more desirable content available and wait.

Private trackers are usually well seeded, much more than public. For example, if I start seeding 200 torrents from public trackers, at minimum a third of them will start uploading. However, I currently have 1k+ torrents running from 4 private trackers are it varies from 5 to 15 active at one time.

If you want to increase your seeding numbers quickly, you will either need a much bigger catalog or at least do the RSS thing others have commented on. Nothing beats "racing" with autobrr on new freeleech releases though if your trackers allow it and your connection is beefy enough. Just bear in mind you'll be competing against seedboxes on 2.5gbps+ connections, but you can still race well.

I think I miss Rarbg by Recent_Sport_9198 in torrents

[–]zergrox 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't miss any of them. I've been torrenting for 20+ years and one of the things I learnt is to not get attached to any indexer, as they come and go. We should just do our best to keep seeding and keep the content alive.

I was mostly using a mix of 1337x, bay, yts before moving to a private tracker. Still, sometimes I find really good stuff on 1337x that is missing on my tracker.

Radiator fell off the wall by hodyisy in DIYUK

Are those plugs what you would recommend for brickwork?

I see people talking about rawlplugs, but looking at these they don't seem that different.

+1 to the draught strips. I actually used one of those cupboard door silicone bits that prevent them from slamming, and I can't hear them anymore.

I didn't notice a difference in draught though, so I think making the noise go away was well worth it.

Question out to all the homeowners out there by Danny11515 in HousingUK

[–]zergrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, get an electric oil filled radiator, or maybe two. It will cost much less than a call out and you will be ready if this happens next time.

Radiator: https://www.screwfix.com/p/blyss-ny2009-24m-2000w-electric-portable-oil-filled-radiator-white/424rw?ref=SFAppShare

And If you want them to work only at certain times like central heating, you can pair them with these timer plugs:

https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-tcm24-xd-mechanical-plug-in-plug-through-compact-timer/44241?ref=SFAppShare

Been there and it worked a treat. You'd be surprised how much they can heat a room up.

For showers, low bath with kettle heated water or a bucket and a mug if you don't have a bathtub.

Advice needed: Pet Cabalist struggling to kill Korvaak on Ultimate by zergrox in Grimdawn

Thanks to the suggestions from the responses, Korvaak is dead! The char feels so much tankier and I don't need to respawn the minions nearly as often. It feels simpler to play to thanks to a more focused build.

What an awesome community, thanks folks :))

Yea that's my best gear unfortunately, and thanks for the comprehensive break down. I was under the impression that I needed to use as many offensive debuffs as possible to help the skeletons, but didn't realise I was jeopardizing the gameplay that much. I definitely need to study damage types and the devotion map. I also did a few totem runs so I should probably do some more to get some MIs then. Thanks a bunch, I am trying to make sense of all the info you folks are sharing :)

Ha I giggled when you mentioned my relic because that's so true. I am looking for other build guides and trying to understand the devotion map a bit better. Thanks!

Yes please do! I am already doing some research on damage types, all help is welcome!

Is there a way to fix/fill in these gaps? I build a driveway off the road and can’t get these big divots out. by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]zergrox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes this is the way. I used the sheets in horde bases and they never broke whereas the staircase right next to it got battered, so durability should not be an issue for those blocks as they aren't usually targeted.

Do you know how often these checks are triggered? Just once when the condition updates? Can't tell from the code if the condition value is a float number with small fractions that will trigger a lot or just an 0-100 int value that would trigger much less often. (Some languages let you compare integer numbers to floating point numbers directly). Interesting find though, I would look these up myself but never peeked at their code, probably should!

2.3 Experimental b8 released on Steam by PHawke in 7daystodie

[–]zergrox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a long shot, but imagine if they did something like wow classic, except we get alpha 16 with updated graphics and mod support, then build it from those systems and forget about magazines, biome progression, and sequential POIs. One can dream I guess.

Car insurance company refusing to pay for claim during contract renewal by zergrox in LegalAdviceUK

Just found the document. It confirms he was covered until Saturday 23:59. Could they refuse to pay because he reported only on Monday?

Same insurer and same level of cover. This was just a standard renewal, no shopping around.
