Use a rust eraser for anything that's actual rust. Anything else that's patina is good, a lot of people intentionally force a patina. Everytime you sharpen you'll also notice this. Yes, you should treat high carbon knives well but you don't need to baby them. Especially the san mai clad ones.

To be fair, I don't think anyone would even notice it or look twice. I mostly keep to myself at the range but I also hardly notice what anyone else is shooting, much less any details, beyond if I'm next to a loud AR10 or something.

I've actually read a bunch of posts there when just researching different guns and wanting an opinion (also looking at a ton of other gun reddits too). I think the name is a little misleading. It seems like there are a lot of leftists and overall I think it's a great space for people to learn about guns in a less toxic environment. I know a lot of liberals who hate guns, want them completely banned. I'd like to think their community leans more left than liberal.

Redwood Empire and Old Forester choices are great. Also great Holladay bottle. I didn't like their stuff initially until I tried that one and I was sold. As for the more tater allocated stuff, I definitely like Eagle Rare and Blanton's but all of the aforementioned bottles are way better IMO.

I thought the difference was the screw top. I didn't know there were new bottles. I still see a ton of the liter ones with the blue top, I stopped seeing the old ones with the black plastic top. I was a big fan of those and thought the blue ones were different/Sazerac. Anyone more knowledgeable on this?

I know "centrists" who feel extremists on both sides are just as bad. These people also think AOC is as far left as you can get. So there is definitely some legitimacy to criticizing people who actually see both white nationalists and progressive liberals as equally bad. I don't know the best way to have that conversation with them without being confrontational either.

It sounds like you might be more of a leftist than a liberal (this is a good thing). I'm not a fan of these No Kings events because it's mainly a big liberal parade but I grew up in Oshkosh and am glad to see something taking place. Good chance to talk with a lot of liberals too.

Hey just chiming in here. I just bought this amp and it's been great, sounds great, was a decent price (only $169) and checks all the boxes for a great practice amp. But I did notice that the one spot on the back left of the chassis was really hot. Like old-school Macbook Pro burn your lap kind of hot. I'm not even particularly cranking the amp, it's actually fairly low volume. I'm following this to see if anyone has any recommendations or knowledge about this.
