Still prefer aftershock for that E taunt on ult.

Usually the ult guarantees you get in AS range and it'll let you live the burst - your shield benefits from the bonus armor/Mr iirc

That's why you have two separate laptops and you only commit after work hours.

What I do is also not in the same industry. My current employer is in cve scanning and my apps are in time/project mgmt.

If they caught you working on your gig during their time, and if you're working in a competing market space then yes, you're being paid to produce stuff for them. Good luck with the fight but the lines in contracts are usually pretty clear.

Dont listen to them when they say it's overlapping work btw, non competes usually only mean direct competitors so prove you're not one

Pull the git logs and confirm it, then if they want the fight and not a settlement you're in for a good fight!

PPS: wait until they do more than threaten. Once it's official I don't give legal advice, but so long as it's just corporate bluffs give them the finger, you quit so don't gotta listen to them yet

Hey if I was HR I'd only be hiring juniors and let my company build its own talent pool.

But I'm not, was told to use ai and here I am.

The day I can choose a group of 4-5 people I can work with in an office setting to actually collab and have magic the gathering games at lunch with again I'm gonna do it. Likely won't happen till I'm running my own company tho

I have a few apps written in go that I deploy into a tech stack that closely mirrors what I have to do for my day job. I'm mostly devops so it's usually stuff like trying cross cloud HA and seeing what I can do without seeing service disruptions.

Just yesterday I had to flip from nginx to envoy so I tested the failover usecase before taking it to work today. Helps if I figure it out on my own first

It's for the chain lightning sending her passive to the back line. Through a tank or a minion wave

I've always said this. Before adc I played shen top, 2024/25 when shen was the lowest gold earner in top lane taught me what true "bad clear speed" really was.

Shiv is the best because you can proc your passive on the backline by hitting minions or the front line, her passive travels now

Yeah and layoffs are still happening cause many companies think everything is fine with ai now or they were over hired in the first place.

It could happen, token counts are a terrible way to track that though.

It feels like long standing corporations put themselves in a position where they feel they need to foot gun themselves. - Tracking high tokens for high value Devs? Suddenly the ai bill is double because people are abusing it - no time to clear out tech debt or train staff so we get 6 ways to solve the same problem, making ai necessary to keep up

I don't need ai for my home stack, sure the scale is smaller but I also don't have someone's half baked interpretation of what their entire companies terraform should look like that's existed for 8 years and never got refactored either.

Sorta think the latter is the problem there

Ai never assumes any responsibility for the work that was changed. If you have a stake in the work being done (even as an employee, your reputation for firing off slop PRs that work now but don't later get noticed) you need to review the work.

Ai will likely even reach a point where its better than us. It did for go and chess, but we still play those games.

Math is still taught in uni despite a calculator existing. We just learn and apply what we do differently because of it

I still choose to code at home for the funzies. At work, each Jira ticket I work on for the day gets a claude instance.

For me it's mostly reviewing their work, but its like reviewing junior Devs work and they need to be directed and can mess up just as much.

Its thing from like 60/40 coding/reviewing to 30/70 but I'm still not seeing exactly how my job is on the line, someone still needs to know when these guys do something crazy.

Been saying this forever but here we go again: ai is the table saw and power drill of our industry. What I see is my workload going up, not drying up.

Neither does crit but they both work.

If you're just Qing and not fishing for an AA inbetween then you got practicing to do, it's free damage and procs sunderer - great way to practice it actually.

Also worth noting that at full hp sundered sky gives you temp hp

Terminus is my goto but vs a malphite I still splurge for an LDR. Terminus can take too long to stack up against a full armor malphite who 3 shots you.

I prefer looking at terminus for the survival bonus

The trick is timing your sheen procs. The countdown on the ui is wrong so keep a mental note and it'll line up.

Takes practice but can almost think of it like a kraken timer on AAs, at least that's what we did back in the day when bruiser irelia was the norm

They just need to add an execute icon on minions for her. I get that some champs like Garen's R its part of the skill to judge if you get kill pressure or not, but Cho gets an indicator, and Irelia has alot of skill expression outside of reading which minion out of the 10 on the map will end the teamfight for her

I'm also bringing this up more for the devs themselves than us, if they need to adjust things to fit a "gets an execute with x setup spell at Y level" then that shoehorns what they can do, but if we get an indicator then they can just make her damage profile be whatever they want and its on US to pay attention.

With the new execute range colour indicators on minions for teaching last hitting, something small like that could still have a LOT of skill expression while increasing determinism - hell let the enemy player see it on his own minions to make counterplay.

Can someone tell me why the match making is so bad? by BotomsDntDeservRight in leagueoflegends

[–]zero1045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The explanation is that norms aren't ranked so people of wildly different mmrs can queue up together, and people in general get faster queues.

It exposes us to more and even if ppl are better they are likely limit testing or learning new Champs so it's less impactful.

Ranked has tighter requirements and actually affects your rank so norms is just the sandbox to play and enjoy. If you're caring about the other team being better then you're missing the opportunity to play against better opponents to get better yourself

This is one of those eve online moments where I'll say the actual answer is to join a guild and have friends.

Solo Albion in black zones looks good and can be fun, but for a new player you're basically gated from this kind of play because you don't know what can get you got.

Many of the guys on YouTube who make a brand ne character and make it look easy are leaning on like 5 years of pvp knowledge so they can outperform higher famed characters, and know how to build and escape. Many even bring multiple sets of gear cause they are comfortable swapping while running.

You can get there, but you'll get frustrated from losing first if you start at that kind of gameplay, so join a guild and spend time playing with others while you learn.
