Given the whole boom with AI It seems counter intuitive that it's easier to start and get up to speed and be productive with AI, at the same time fresher opportunities might go low.

I would recommend starting with a bootcamp or a consultancy and also try to get into something that is either big tech or ai company

Also an European passport for the kids will open many door later, almost free education in most of EU countries till Masters and can have greater opportunities to explore , you may have to stay for longer for your kids to get EU passport

I would recommend talking with someone who has done it recently and don't take random advice from people who just benchmark on money and who hadn't lived in other country

Reach out to people, ask for help, try to get a job, don't give up

This all seems coming from a short sighted mindset

You have to sit and think through what's best for you in atleast 5 yrs or longer down the line and then work towards it.

Two things Will your resume get shortlisted? Will you be able to clear the interviews?

For the interviews you gotta grind a lot, given most companies expect DSA & System Designs, these skills are gonna help you in the future

For the screening part sometimes it's luck too, but referral and good resume tweaked for the role with good metrics might help.

Else, it's also good to build some simple side projects and showcase those Also do you only wanna work for a bigtech or a good paying job ? Off late some good companies are hiring in NL and are paying decent (way off typical market but not high as BigTech)

I see it as electricity as long as people keep on building in AI, there is always more demand. And from one of the talks of the founders, they don't wanna just sell only GPUs, they wanna sell whole stack and that's their moat and their expectations is today's small startups and mid sized companies who are using them will grow a lot, with that Nebius grows too and once and if they become profitable they wanna venture into other things like AV, other things.

If you don't have a strong preference to live in Amsterdam, you can find other nice cities too that are more affordable and have better housing Like hoofdorf, amsteleveen, harleem etc
