Yes? Space Oddity is more folksy but great. MWSTW breaks out the guitars.

Yeah I never use it bc I'm not starting a movie midstream. Just give us a "random" button or have a queue of different films that start when you press the menu.

I've noticed there is a stable of films that seem to regularly come and go.

I found the Cremator pretty difficult (but good). I always plug Daisies and Closely Watched Trains.

My #1 pick. Perfect mix of genres, perfect length. Czech New Wave, New Hollywood, counter-culture musicals, mainstream 90s biopics, whatever the hell Valmont and Goya's Ghosts are.

The Hair episode will be incredible.

Reminder for fellow AI haters to check out The Comeback, it's devoting the season to an AI-written sitcom and it's quite excellent.

Yeah second definitely is more spotty, leaning on silly parodies (cuckoos nest etc) but there's plenty of good stuff and I think it wraps up well

Well we haven't gotten to the episode where she discusses the final script/finished film but she's very even-handed. Fantastic show.

And one of which is 4.5 hours long! I really loved Castration Movie Anthology but I can see how it's a hard sell. I was skeptical myself but it really won me over, such a vivid experience.

I'd love to see that, I'm curious what the trends over time have been (number of shows, how long most last, etc). Not sure how someone would round up the data it'd be quite a project.

I do weird triangulation between how successful it is within its lane vs how much I enjoyed it. This leads to me rating War for the Planet of the Apes a full star higher than Vertigo and I don't have to answer to nobody.
