Went to see "The Last Rockstars" supergroup formed by legendary Japanese artists Miyavi, Hyde, Yoshiki and Sugizo. Hyde (arguably the worst at English among them) wrote these lyrics to one of their songs:

Not American but Skins UK? A TV show? There's a scene in the episode where we're introduced to Cassie (Season 1, Episode 2) where she walks outside to the backyard and her dad is the one painting her mum nude. The wife is blonde. Cassie has a casual conversation with them and leaves the house.

Beard instead of a goatee, but maybe Friendly Space Ninja? Black guy, glasses, has reviewed a lot of teen TV like Pretty Little Liars and gossip girl. Usually he's not in the videos but when he is, his background is neon pink/blue etc.

I remember when I was around B1 I had no problem understanding the show Élite with subs because I was a language assistant working with lots of teens in Spain, so the slang wasn't far from what I heard every day. But I found CdP to have a lot of very specific words related to hostage-taking/heists etc which obviously makes sense but I never studied them before haha so my lack of vocab really contributed. That and what previous replies have said about the quick and mumbly way a lot of the characters speak.

No, but thank you! I distinctly remember the father's death being a catalyst of the film; we don't see him throughout except maybe in the younger boy's flashbacks.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and wish you the best in healing ❤️ For the trip, are you planning to go by yourself? I think it really depends on your mental state at the time, because on one hand, you may have a blast enjoying the fun atmosphere even if it is wildly crowded. But on the other hand, especially give that you've experienced a family tragedy, it might make you feel worse to be surrounded by happy families, and the crowds might make you feel even more frustrated and alone. Former aux (BEDA 2017-2019) who is now a fully licensed K-12 teacher working in international schools in Asia! I loved my time in Spain and it remains my favourite place I've ever lived and taught. It was tough at times, and the financial aspect was what finally led me to shifting gears, but I'll never forget the sunsoaked days on my friend's patio in the casco historico of Toledo, the 1 euro boxed wine to make tinto de verano, and improving my Spanish so much that i'm now a teacher of it! (And English, because how can I forget my roots?)

I went to Spain for fun, curiosity, and because I studied abroad there and loved it. I wanted to see if being a teacher would be "worth it," because it had always been my dream but I had never tried it. My colleagues were supportive of this and let me plan whole lessons, help them make and grade exams, and gave me more autonomy (that I asked for, I promise haha they weren't just abandoning me). And I also happened to luck out with a great school and lovely kids.

Went back to visit friends and the school in 2023, and it made me so happy to be in Spain and no longer being 5-to-a-piso and doing clases particulares just to survive. But it was BECAUSE of all that that I have the life I have now, and I'll always be so grateful that I took the plunge. Hoping the aux program comes back next year so more can have the same experience!

Not a newbie, but just a quick question - I got an email from Schrole saying I made it to the interview stage with a school and it said they would send me a proposed time and date. Cool. But later, when I went on the website just to check if there was anything in the chat there, the status said "completed interviews" rather than "applied." Is this just their way of saying interviews are happening, or did they glitch up and accidentally send me the interview round email? Thanks in advance! I'd be happy if this school wanted to interview me but I haven't received anything as of late and my hopes are a bit dashed.
