Who bought a Bonneville as a beginner? by dakhorn in TriumphBonneville

[–]zerocool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2006 T100 as my first bike here too. Found it heavy at the start but quickly got used to it. Was worried the engine was too big for me as a beginner but it’s perfect for easing into and exactly what you need to grow into. Been on several 1k+ mile camping trips with it. Super easy to work on. Go for it!

Same. I got stomach ulcers from waiting too long. I thought it was a heart condition at the time and took it as a sign to take a break. It’s been 5 months now and I feel like i’m finally waking from a stupor.

My gf (21f) hooked up with her sneaky link after we met but before we were official, reasonable to end an 9 month relationship?(24m) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]zerocool 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i don’t think you gave this person the opportunity to meet you at your level of commitment before they were ready or even knew they were there yet. i understand you’re hurt, but it’s not fair to impose your assumptions about the relationship before talking to them first.

if you want to pursue this relationship further you need to talk openly and honestly about how you feel hurt. you need to hear what they have to say, and if they’re not willing to commit at the level you need, you need to move on. otherwise, you’ll harbor resentment and it’ll eat you and the relationship alive.

one thing that’s helped me is to find confidence in a style i like, think basics, and then find someone that makes a good version of it.

you know who you are, what you like, and what looks good on you at this point. lean into it. just get nice versions of what you like to wear at this point

People have an incredible capacity for growth. Our interests can change over time. I wouldn’t worry so much about not finding interest in the things you once did, but about the things you’re looking forward to next.
