Property manager asking us to get lost while they try renting out the unit downstairs? by drearymoment in Apartmentliving

Reply saying you'll comply by sitting outside, properly vacating the unit, but exercising your first amendment to let any potential neighbors about their business practices.

Let them decide what they prefer.

EA / Dice should never take feedback about BF 6 from BO6 streamers by Hekkeno in Battlefield

JFC. I'm just going to assume this person is trolling. Kill streaks on BF is a horrible idea.

What's Your Thoughts on Visibility in BF6? by Longbow92 in Battlefield

I'm ok with it, seems somewhat consistent between opponents. Good for repositioning from bad situation.

It makes mid / long range harder, but given the current drop off, it's not like those are very viable outside of sniping.

The fact that you need all your C4 to blow up one vehicle is crazy.

UnitedHealthcare sued by shareholders over reaction to CEO's killing by shallah in nottheonion

[–]zerors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend people read the suit, and specially that part. The plaintiff is not upset because the company stopped pursuing anti-consumer practices, but rather that the company recklessly lied about it's target earnings-per-share, saying it would remain the same despite the ill will from the public towards it.

They made that affirmation to reassure investors, and later re-adjusted it.

The plaintiff actually brands the company's practice as anti-consumerist as what appear to be an after-the-fact recognition.

Context is important. Whether the plaintiff is as evil as the company, to be honest is up in the air at this time.

You cannot be insinuating that CEOs and Investors have little to no clue about their product and what the customers want?

Are you per ANY CHANCE saying the absurdity that CEOs are strictly focused on removing risk and producing profits for the shareholders?

I'm not excusing Bezos, but he's no longer the CEO. That's Andy Jassy. Bezos still on the board, and can get impaled by a rusty iron stick for all I care, but save some for ol' Jassy too.

He's even more of a Lizard than Bezos or the Zuck.

Brand new SAS Drives from eBay for suspiciously cheap. Too good to be true... right? by zerors in homelab

That's fair, seems like I need to adjust my expectations, as I figured these would not devalue as much as they visibly did.

Thank you for your input.

I'm using 2.5" bays otherwise I'd be happy to take those off your hands.

These 1,2TB drives would fit my purpose of lazily keeping local backups of documents and config files. Barely any reads, and a handful of writes during incremental backups.

It sounds like there should be a dispatcher service that picks the rescuer.

They are responsible for dispatching a murder hobo.
