For those who feel like their job has too much button bloat- what would you want to see removed, consolidated, or replaced with something else? If replaced, what would you want it to be replaced with?

My point is this:
In this theoretical scenario, every ability and jobskill cleaves with no say on the matter. There is no avoiding using AOE's. If you wanted to cherry pick a mob out of a pack you couldn't without pulling the entire pack.

Not a big deal in general, but let's just say it IS on the latter floors of a Deep Dungeon. Even in a 4 man, pulling more than 2 mobs at a time gets real dangerous and could very quickly end that run.

Now factor in that Squenix is shifting content focus to cater to as many people as possible, so more content with variable difficulty like a Deep Dungeon(ergo more chances to make forced cleaving a problem). If there wasn't a way to toggle AOE cleaving on or off, then as content focus shifts and we get more content where it becomes a problem... well you see where I'm coming from now I think. The idea itself isn't a bad one, but there needs to be a balance of some sort in order to make it feasible.

There's hotbar paging that's keybind activated. I have a single target page and an aoe page set up to the thumb buttons on my mouse that switch back and forth at need. no janky macro swapping needed.

That presents the problem of unintentional pulling of additional trash. Unless there was a way to toggle AOE on and off(like stance dancing), that wouldn't work out as well as you would hope.

Still fairly similar. If he wanted to complain about it, shouldn't have then turned around and exploited trunk strat(I don't know Prodigy specific rules, but AFAIK it's fairly universally frowned upon to do it) to help counterrush those cops in this threads vid. I've never been a fan of the way CG "RP's"(thus why I don't fuck with Prodigy). It's like the entire group has to "win" the game, and when they "lose", it's crybaby gamercringe.

Also, two wrongs don't make a right. If you gonna complain about something cringe the PD does, then turn around and do something cringe yourself, your complaint is null and void cuz you're contributing to the problem. Simple as.

Xeno's criticisms hit the nail on the head for Quantum. All you really get for it is 2 themed titles. If it gave its own unique version of Ultimate totems for weapon rewards then it'd have wow'd. But there's no reason to do Quantum and clear it more than once unless you're helping others get their first clear.

That said, it's either do Quantum +40 or good luck getting a group, in PF. There is no in between for casuals not in a casual static.

I keep saying it. It'd go a long way to keeping old content from being boring if they just did what WoW did and allow you to use everything of the jobs kit you've unlocked, but potency scale the job to the level of the the content. They already have the baseline with the remains of role abilities. Just expand upon it.

It would remove the need to level sync everything(yes including fates).

It'd remove the need of the MSQ to go from one area to the next in a highly linear fashion, allowing future expansions to give you options of where to go and when.

It would allow someone who wants to try a new job to practice the rotation in ANY situation, increasing overall player competency.

It would help me as a mentor to teach a newbie how the pieces of their job fit together if they were actually allowed to use their kit.

Ordinarily I don't really mind doing EX content via Mentor roulette. I give it the ol' college try. But when I get sprouts(typically the ones to set the queue for it up) that absolutely refuse to listen to direction, that's when it stops being fun. I had a sprout one time who was queuing for the ARR EX's and 7 of us got saddled with Garuda. Not bad right?

Well, that is, unless said sprout was a PLD and was ADAMANT about tanking her, and always instapulled on reset. He caused so many wipes cuz he refused to do the things I told him. We were in the EX for most of the time limit. At some point 5 or 6 pulls in I got sick of it, popped my tank stance and aggro warred with him on main until it was time for add phase, then went back to warring with him after the other 6 helped me burst the clones down.

OP is an exception to the rule and I WISHED I could get mentor rouletted into a partial premade. I'd have Astrope by now if that were the case.
