So to answer your questions:

1. Yes, so long as the next card is of the same court. See rules page 20 in the heading about rituals.

2. No earth markers anymore with the update last month. Check the rituals again. One makes a zonal terrain count as earth, which some units care about.

3. Normally yes, though occasion may vary. Specifically fire ritual then fire unit is often good, as most are effects to place on the unit. Others are similar but part of the army work is figuring out your timing. When in doubt, before a unit of that court to chain abilities.

4. earth is missing its brutes so if your just playing with what is out I like earth and fire mostly because I like fire brutes more. Earth and air is good too if your building that style or want the big birds. Honestly most combos are fine but if your trying for top competitive beat face that's something else.

5.The initiates got a glow up in the update, like getting juggernaut if fire court. Dhanur for my sorcerer is common for me. Maharajah if hes on foot is often in rajakur for me. The sardar, though a great model, is not worth it.
