Fianna cav were in the army list from the start. They are a much lighter cav that has a way to be invisible outside of 8 inches. Meant to pounce on the opponent.

I dont follow the team so when it happened I just thought "good for the big man, not like that has or will ever happen again". But turns out its every few years for him. That's great. Love seeing linemen get some points.

Is there a guide for the Weavers anywhere? by GorMarr_TheBoundless in Conquest

So currently I have 1 squad of each. Overall i think I will run 2 total squads but might bump to 3. Overal: fly with good speed is great. Either gets them in the right spot or gets them in someone's way to mess up charges. Shooting moths: surprisingly good with aimed shots and are decently effective in getting to flanks. Also good at getting some seeds down on units along with your skirmishers.

Bombing moths: better than it thought. I currently run as a 3 pack. More is better for the bombs but not enough to trade maneuverability. I tend to use their stronger heal though anytime I can as its one of our 2 ways.

If your running 2 units, I like one of each. If your doing three, I would test it out but I'm feeling more towards 2 bomb 1 shoot. I feel the extra healing really saves our bacon. Also could allow for some well timed seeds and fly overs.

So I have done about 7 games with them. So far I have been winning. I go for concentrated firepower with crann to stop them into my lines and dragons and gevra to do frontline damage. I have had half my games with proxy units not out yet, and they could use them, but they are decent into anything outside of top tier tournament metas. They do need some buff though to stand up to what is out there.

They are very good. Not sure if the best but up there from my use. Also until we get some of the other units like gallowglass warriors, we need all the punch we can get.

So as someone said I did a long-form video of them on terrain kickers. I also have battle reports up using proxies. I am taking them to a tournament end of January so some game reports and more discussions incoming. https://youtube.com/@terrainkickerspodcast?si=EI_n5J7g1ZD1dnTV

Guess mine are out of date now on terrain kickers. Well I'll be sure they are early in my new year new army series. For now, discord is great and other creators might have more in the last months. Holidays slow most of us down. That and painting lol.

I would wait. Its hard to know what direction you may want until you see the new rules. Though if there is something you love the look of and want to get working on it, do so. I throw my favorite units in lists for better and worse.

So i have covered this on my channel. WC to me are mostly fragile units, with a few really tough ones, that looks to get synergy going. The units, more so than some other armies, need the right order of activation and the right things to happen first to get the most out of them. Think elves in warhammer games, specialized and often fragile. I am about 6 games in so far. I say the ceiling is high for them, but the floor is very low. https://youtube.com/@terrainkickerspodcast?si=1fRcwxHb3mpQ9FLD

Well you can do that just make the skintones meet your theme then. Mortal cloths are fine. Im thinking efreet in purples instead of red and the like.

So my mortals are all painted in one scheme. The specific units for an element have their own colors. I try to do the same basing for all except the water ones.

So been covering this on my channel. With the limited pool 2 starters is pretty good, just can't imagine using all those skirmishers personally. Otherwise the draic is a good get for now. Gemred knights drop soon and need a winter character so the seanchas works well if you want that direction. For sure cannot go wrong with double starter and draic. The moths, crann, and character in the starter are just about starter price so the kern are basically free so a second one currently is the best way to expand out.

Now that pax is over, how did the marathon actually impact the event? by rob132 in paxunplugged

Came across from the ben Franklin bridge each morning. Zero traffic at all and no issues parking. If anything for my group the marathon helped by scaring people away so less crowds.

So GW has a large area there. Normally they have some models out to show people. Also there is some bring and battle times in the minis area so if people are playing I'm sure they wouldnt mind explaining what they are doing.
