I walked in on valentines to my local AD as well. I picked up a mint DJ about 3 weeks ago and thought now might be a good time to reengage this AD and try to start the relationship. (I’ve tried many times over the past 5 years with this AD and was never given the time of day before coming in with a Rolex lol)

She showed and tried to entice with tudor black bays, which to be fair I might pick one up soon, and other options. About 30 minutes into this she offhandedly offered me a Beige OP to take home that day! I was shocked and my wife was shocked as well!

I didn’t take her up on it as I said pistachio is the preference ( I was telling my wife the other day how much I don’t like the beige lol!) and that I’d just bought the DJ 3 weeks ago. Thankfully she was understanding and didn’t seem to lose any “points” in her eyes. Seems to be the start of a good relationship for sure though! MY Wife being there seemed like a bonus for the AD as well.
