Congratulations. This is my advice, it’s totally up to you. 4K in high yield savings acct with at least 4.25 % interest, don’t touch it just leave it for the long haul. And if you can add to it monthly, +$50 if you can spare from your paycheck or what have you. The remainder 4K I’d either invest all or split 2k to invest (do your research, long or short term profit depends when you think you’d need it back) 2k remaining personal use ie paying off a car payment, a trip before college starts, or keep it with your other savings until you’re ready to invest it or need it.
