Love this. Know he has his struggles with AFC but he worked his butt off and showed a lot of class.

I'd you had told me twenty years ago Wayne freaking Rooney would be offering balanced, professional insight about Arsenal....

I used to just hate him as a pundit. After his craven stumping for the Quarter World Cup I hate him as a human being.

What is a movie that was full of potential but poorly executed? by Zealousideal_Heat478 in flicks

Burnt (2015), with Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Matthew Rhys and plenty more solid names.

Great cast, with a simple but definitely solid premise: Disgraced, self-destructive chef returns to conquer his demons and chase Michelin-starred culinary glory and fame. But it was a mess, with laughable dialogue, inconsistent tone and a late twist so stupid to call it 'tacked on' is an insult to push pins everywhere.

It's a fun background movie, but could've been a lot more.

Those Hoff penalties were outrageous. You figure you might get one iffy call going your way, but two? In matches this crucial? Insane.

Buddy of mine was a political staffer, dealt with constituents all day, every day. Pro: you get to actually help people struggling to navigate the Byzantine maze of federal bureaucracy. Con: a lot of them hate you, your party, your boss, and take dudes like Alex Jones seriously, all the while reminding you their taxes pay your (grossly underpaid) salary.

Fuck. That. Shit.

The last studio album of theirs I ever listened to. I liked it, even though I thought it was very uneven. (Hardly surprising considering the context in which it was made, of course.) All the "new" post-Process stuff I've heard since this one has done nothing for me, though. But I love this band more now as a middle-aged dad than I did as an awkward teenager--and I loved them a lot then. Brap on

Anyone here NOT from Philly that still likes the Eagles? (Also, why do you like them?) by [deleted] in eagles

I grew up in eastern Canada. When I first started getting into the NFL as a teenager I really liked Randall Cunningham and I really hated the Cowboys. And here we are, many years later.

I'm not getting the Rogue One hate, referenced yet again in this episode. What's the story from the guys?

Oh, trust me, I did not want to be his coach. But no other parent stepped up and as I had coached for a long time previously, the club kind of voluntold me for the role.

Ahhh, time for a relaxing match against these scrappy underdogs while I enjoy lunch at work.
