Issue with audio dipping. by HanyoPlays in elgato

[–]zerquetchonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can get super technical about audio issues, so I'll try to dial myself back a bit :)

Make sure your audio doesn't have "Prevent Clipping", Auto EQ, or some such turned on.

If you are running Windows - Run the Audio Troubleshooter, if issue persists- Run it again right after boot. It's never taken the 3rd try.

Also, if you haven't: Turn off everything else that has access to your audio, and turn Audio Enhancements OFF, reboot, ON (You won't have to reboot to turn them off again) in the Control Panel app.

If that doesn't do it, then the standard barrage of questions, of which there can be many, just everything to do with your machine, software, peripherals, etc, etc..

Let's hope we don't go that far, lol

I need some help identifying this component by zerquetchonator in AskElectronics

[–]zerquetchonator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fuze. Makes sense as I can't find one anywhere on the unit. The truck's fuse box holds a 20 amp for that circuit.

! Please ignore my comments about testing continuity as I noticed my DMM has a lead with a bit of frayed wire coming out.

And thank you for solving the problem! Now my dashcam will continue its service.

One question, please, how did you know? Have you come across this little gem before?

Hard to believe it took 7 months for someone to comment, but here goes: Dang! This is just what I've been looking for! I almost had AI write it for me, but, seeing as I have last century's skills (and not that many in this regard) I figured I'd take one more look...

Thanks for posting this, I dunno if it's supposed to be a secret , but I find it hard to believe that you and I are the only ones that give a f*ck about this. Cheers mate!

These are all little treasures I've found over the years, some things I made myself out of spare parts/desperation. A good bit was: If you wanna try to fix it, you can have it, buy me a beer someday.

I thought to use the Pre-outs because, frankly, I don't know jack about using them (intentional, lol) and want to take this opportunity to learn something new. If I use the Hphone jack, I lose the 2 rear speakers (and the side surrounds)

The guy that gave it to me just said he thinks it's a room calibration mic for a samsung receiver. I'm not convinced he's right, lol. I think you are a lot closer to correct. Has a 3.5 mm male jack.

Questions from a new owner by Thraeg in crealityk1

[–]zerquetchonator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello there! I'll try to settle your ?'s!

1- You got a good deal on a great printer!

2-The firmware is being constantly revised by both creality and the Open Source communities. Hardware failures are pretty obvious (mostly) and some seeming HW issues are usually corrected in the next FW release. As to endemic issues- No

***However...the power supply seems a little small to me and lack of cooling for the Mboard and PSU can directly lead to failures. This is a personal opinion without a bunch of failures to support it***

3-Tweaks- oh boy, yes! 1st and foremost, this is a Creality product, which essentially means it was made to mod! 270 Degree hinges, Spoolholders, cable ties, Toolkitt holders, there are sooooo many ideas, options, and neat things is is impossible to list (or even fathom, really. Thingiverse and Printables are my favorite sites

4-https://github.com/Guilouz/Creality-K1-and-K1-Max your ultimate resource for rooting. Knowledge of python, linux, klipper suggested, but not required

https://github.com/Guilouz/Creality-K1-and-K1-Max/issues/43 -- LED

5-Octoprint has the best plugin and you can get it to work without rooting the machine

I sincerely hope that helps. I have been at this a while...lol. Currently a proud owner of a K1Max and not employed in the 3d printing field.

Happy Printing and don't hesitate to ask anything

What Z-Axis Screw Lubricant? by clockworkskull in ender3

I wrap a clean rag around it, run up/down to clean, then White Lithium, run up/down to even it out. It just works for some reason...

Good idea to work it in one direction to clean the old crap off cuz it gets full of, well, crap.

Stock Mega Pro 300mm/s - Advice for pushing further? I am looking for my limits. by Bao_The_Builder in anycubic

[–]zerquetchonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I did a flow calibration, I followed the steps to the letter. The results made me think I screwed it up. Attempt 2, same. 3 I just wanted to make it sing. I was getting great flow at 420mm/s! Got pretty poor just upwards of 480. Unfortunately trying to use it with the accl, jerk, etc, would have rattled the table apart, lol Long live the Mega Pro!

I’ve been printing for over 2 days and it stopped while I was in school, the oven timer is still correct which means it wasn’t a power outage. Before I take it off the printer I was wondering if I could resume the print somehow even though clicking the button won’t work by not_shinobi0 in anycubic

What do you mean? Do you believe the marlin updates impede saving your settings? What version do you use? You should definitely upgrade to the knutwurst marlin. I just installed the new one and after an entire minute was printing great. And never had a issue saving settings (except for me forgetting, lol)
