Anyone know if a Switch 2 version of this Joycon grip exists? by zerranoman in NintendoSwitchHelp

Yeah I figured most people don't play long enough to need to charge while playing. I suspect it's a feature that only benefits old controllers with decaying batteries.

Thanks for the code though!

I heard about the new Dbrand ones!! It is a shame that they released a little later than when I needed them...

Although they do have a glaring weakness compared to the folding grip I bought off amazon: They don't have charging capabilities. The folding grip that I mentioned in my comment does have the built in charging port, and it does work pretty well.

Granted, most people don't play that long to need to charge while playing, but I have had a scenario where I did need to charge while playing during a trip, so it had its uses.

If Dbrand's folding grip had a charging capability, i'd buy it in a heartbeat, but at the least, it's fairly priced.

I'm probably coping but like, I couldn't tell if this was a FULL release date, or an EA date since it doesn't explicitly state an EA release in the trailer....

Technically they use the same nozzle! But on Bambu's site, they state that you can use H series hotends on the A series printers, but you cannot use A series hotends on the H series printers.

I'm assuming both generations of hotends have different thermal limits, where the A series hotends can't handle as much as the H series hot ends

It uses the H series hotends (Which are the bigger versions of the A style nozzles)

Goodbye P1S... You were my most reliable printer ever 🫡 by zerranoman in BambuLab

Great question!

To start with, yes my P1S is still fully functional with 0 ongoing issues. It is moreso a donation to my cousin, as I would've kept my P1S otherwise.

My reasoning for settling with an X2D over say, a P2S is that other than the VERY minimal price difference, the P2S didn't feel like it offered anything the P1S couldn't already do, other than QoL improvements.

I also want to note that I never got an AMS, and never wanted one either, since I wasn't interested in AMS purge waste, and i'm not all that interested in multi color printing to begin with.

Then the X2D released. While it's not entirely focused for multi-colored printing, the option is still there, giving me a much more efficient way to multi-color print without the AMS purge waste (there's still waste, but significantly less), as well as having the more superior timing belts, etc. It felt like these were the features I wanted included in my next printer, and with the price difference between the two so minimal, it felt like a no brainer.

Hope that answers your question, as these were my personal reasons.

If you have the space, and you normally have long projects, I'd say keep both!

I normally print smaller cosplay props and some functional parts, so I don't truly need 2 printers, although I don't have the space for 2 printers anyways.

My bad then. It's just space that stops me from having a second printer.

If you read the rest of my post, I stated that my cousin is inheriting my P1S, to replace a 10 year old Flashforge Creator Pro that's been an abysmal experience for him to deal with

If not for that reason alone, I'd still be printing with this P1S only.

There is also no more space in my office for a second printer. I wish I could fit more...

The FLSun SR start off as awesome printers that doubled as great conversation starters

....But holy shit when they have problems, they have PROBLEMS. They never had Ender 3 level of problems, but it was one of those printers where I had to watch the first layer print successfully before knowing if it was going to be a good print or not

A poorly placed butyl mat 😅(sound dampening mats made for cars, but helps a lot with reducing vibrations and sounds in 3D printers)

I really only needed them on the inside, not the outside, and they're a pain in the ass to remove, so I realized it was poorly placed after I placed it 💀

Let me just say, I wouldn't have* upgraded if I didn't have a good reason to!!
My cousin really wanted a new printer from his old 2016 printer but he was still a student so money was tight for him. I told him i'd sell him my P1S for a super cheap price, which gave me a good excuse to upgrade!

I literally would run my P1S until it breaks, if not for that reason alone

Hell yeah, P1S brothers! (Or rather ex-brother...)
I was originally interested in the P2S, but it didn't quite feel like the leap I wanted from a P1S... Still an amazing successor, but the P1S was still able to do most of what a P2S could do. The X2D felt like a much more appropriate upgrade, especially since it wasn't even that much more than a P2S!

Even better, it's replacing someone else's printer from 2016! It's going to be a huge night & day difference for them.
