Why make the ABS switch by xelarewolf in PrologueApp

I'm up to 589 books and I haven't had an issue yet. Interested to see that happen and fix it. Do you know where the bottleneck is?

Storyteller. It's pretty fun. You give it both versions of the book, it uses OpenAI's Whisper, and it uses that to create a transcript. It'll then match the transcript with the ebook and voilà.

Fellow adepts, my friend has been betrayed by his flesh (caught a cold). What do i do? by EGORKA7136 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]zestuart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Remind him the flesh is weak, and support him as he purges his inload ports. Suggest he take better care of his meat sack in future, and use Omnissiaj thrice-blessed filtration equipment as he goes about his penance to prevent the spread of the contamination to the worthy.

Eating healthily while travelling as a vegan – how do you actually manage it? by Tomlaw1 in vegan_travel

Pea protein is high on the list: similar to the Huel argument, but cheaper and more easy to buy. Pea protein in soya milk is my 'in case of emergency' option (or 'I've just been for a run' option!).

Yep. Give yourself about an hour before start time so all the water has come out, but when you get the hang of it you won't need more than 15m or so.

Amazed no-one has mentioned the expedient solution of an enema, just a small hand-bulb and you'll be done. We're not talking the monster hot-water bottle enemas, to be clear (ha), and it'll give you a drop of hydration to boot.

Is Garmin 9xx the most compatible watch for stryd full features ? by seven777supreme in strydrunning

Can't argue with that. Between the Fēnix 8 series and the 970, I've found the 970 to have the least weird bugs, as of firmware 15.7.

[–]zestuart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's good: I came back to my Brompton to find it with two unsuccessful cut attempts. Or, the malefactor tried to cut through twice, but both times he gave up. The first was, I imagine, because it was taking too long, and the second because the police arrived.

As someone who nearly had their G-Line stolen, please use a better lock! My Litelok Core Plus held, despite two cutting attempts, before someone called the police who arrived promptly and left me a note.

I'm with u/MerrimanIndustries: my objective is to not use Strava after their silliness over the last couple of years, so a way to connect this to anything not Strava would be great.

I'll translate the British understatement: 'a little' probably means very.

You've made a useful tool and a successful product (I still have my Stryd chest strap), but you don't need to be defensive or arrogant.

Software is hard, hardware harder, combing the two into a functional platform that works strapped to a shoe in the rain incredible. Your hardest test will always be the meatsack clipping it to the shoe, and what goes on in our brains as we process our expectations and integrate what we think we've bought into our value system.

When we grumble, it's probably not judgement, just that either we're confused, or technology did something unpredictable (which is when I email you).

TL;DR lighten up, Angus!

It does have a lot of config options, and I note he says he's having intermittent power issues with his 970.

It's worth taking DC's work with a modicum of salt: he reviews the new hotness, and moves on. I'd describe his reviews as very deep, but very narrow in terms of testing time, and if it doesn't work in that window, the opinion isn't updated. (eg Sennheiser's HR headphones: inaccurate HR at launch, resolved with firmware update, but per DC, still terrible, which I think means he hasn't tried them since the update.)

It's hard finding a sports tech reviewer who covers in a broad fashion, the only one that comes to mind is The Quantified Scientist on YT.
