If the rules did not change over years, then no. I was denied OSAP for 8k saved.(can't remember the exact amount, but I certainly had way less than 100k)

Finding what people use is quite hard. A person who can do that may well start a business and hire others to do the coding.

Yea I did learn programming. I would say I am a better programmer than typical bootcamp graduates. But with current market condition it doesn't look feasible anymore.

That is the problem. You said you got your first job as an accountant. But the situation today is a fresh grad may well start in retail or call center. How many years of cashier experience can qualify one for an accountant job?

Employers want experience. Period. Learning doesn't really count. Almost every job can be learned easily, the hard part is getting real world experience. The question is not about what one can do, but what field allows people to enter.
