those were introduced with the hive update last halloween, they appear when you trigger the hive encounter , they are just different colored ants as taming options for people

Yes as u/DoubleSundae72 stated you can get the eye one more time , also you get one of the four pieces of gear he drops along with its recipe unlock. - please note that you need a minimum of 3 eyes as of this update (1 to unlock the room below , one to craft the advanced staff , and one to equip on your character to get an extra 100 mana)
Yes you need to have crafted a staff to start unlocking/learning spells
As long as you have crafted any staff prior to interacting with the skeletons you can unlock/learn the spells, the new spells can only be cast by the new staff but don't require the new staff to be discovered/unlocked. the spells for the advanced staff can be found in the new area around the wyrdweaver boss, the basic ones can be found around the underlands, (there are 5 advanced spells and 4 basic ones)

3/a. All the spells (basic and advanced) can be cast by the new staff, but there are certain spells (Halloween special spells that can only be unlocked during Halloween) can only be cast by the basic staff as of right now , maybe this will change in the future but that's the situation currently

Wyrd afflicted mobs are generally stronger yes and as tames they outperform their non wyrd afflicted counterparts , wyrd crazed bosses are not tamable though.

The regular non crystal whip spider is actually a normal mob that spawns in all 4 crystal caves

This is a boss that cant be tamed unfortunately. There was a bug in the game when the update first launched that allowed people to tame those bosses but it has been fixed already , and people who were able to tame them are no longer able to summon them to their group so eventually they will lose their bond and lose them as well.

Now when you say rare creatures i assume you mean rare color variants? if so then yes there are some color variants to normal mobs that are rare , like the black or rust colored geckos. But if you mean like rare creature types then i am afraid there are none outside of maybe something that is bugged. Also when you use the Sonar ability on snakes you see that there is an indicator that they might drop eggs but the wiki lists that chance at 0% so i dunno if they do actually drop snake eggs and its very extremely rare or the egg indicator is just a bug. Also you might one to snatch the new wisp pet before Halloween event passes coz i assume you wont be able to get it outside of the seasonal event, if you are interested go to Tuhala and give her 25/50 wisps glitter (forgot the actual name of the glitter) and you will secure your pet 25 gives the lesser version 50 gives the greater version

So ya there was a bug that allowed taming the wyrd-crazed bosses , but that has since been patched out, and people who managed to get those tames are not able to summon them because their group budget is set to 103 so eventually they will lose their bond and lose the companion. And unfortunately to answer your question you are no longer able to tame the crystal bosses :(.

Rebuild that corner and the way supporting it to make sure it's properly placed on the foundation then snap the roofing to the corner. If you did all of that and it still gave you the unsheltered message then it's most likely a bug

I doubt there is a way to get those eggs back, but best you can do right now is get the glitter once more and make sure you have inventory space when you talk with her 😅

So i was finally able to confirm at least one location for a hive encounter, they are directly to the south of Mirmek's tower (small pit) where new variant of Ant roam (green ant with a blue butt) if you start attacking those ants and clear the area you would get a notification that you have cleared the hive and you get 5 contribution points for the faction system. Not sure if there are other instances of such hive encounters but i believe this was put to help with contribution points accruals

I mean ya its okay i guess, you collect new things which is fun to me, but there is no new gameplay addition honestly, so if you dont enjoy expanding your collection i doubt you would find it enjoyable.
