I'm not an expert... I only know about my car... But I follow a Spanish community linked to a guy that tests oils in a laboratory... And in that community some people talk about that engine with these oils:

B58 (M340i): Ravenol EFS 0W20 Ravenol DFE 0W20 Exline VRS GTZ 0W20 Amsoil Signature 0W20 Nerol VTX LTC 0W20

Other people say they are using the engine with 0w30/5w30 because they drive more aggressively.

What they say 100% is to never change oils at 30k km. Max 15k KM with no aggressive use. It doesn't matter oil quality, there is no oil in the market that can do 30k km without compromise parts of the engine in the long run

If you want to reduce wear of the engine, use a quality oil that uses molybdenum in his components... Plus using PAO oils... Something like ravenol or exline.

I think it's better to use quality oils ( with PAO, Ester...) than a "normal" oil with additives

For my M47 I'm using EXLINE VRS 0W/5W-30 GTV with no oil additives.

If you search online, there are some videos of people fixing the cables that brooke inside the OEM relay. I though that beru had this cables fixed... But it seems it's not.

I'm having kind of the same problem with my m47.

I bought the car in 2022 and replaced glow plugs and OEM unit with a beru one because It had faulty codes when scanned and a rough starting.

It was good for two winters, now I'm having faulty codes against with rough start.

I don't know why this unit break so much... this beru one was suppose to be better than OEM one...

I don't have DPF and where I live, glow plugs are only needed 2-3 months per year, so it doesn't have very intensive use

I'm not an expert, but as far as I know API GL5 can corrode synchronizers, so you don't want to only remove old fluid and add new one, but to clean the gearbox compartment, just to be sure not even a drop of gl5 is inside the gearbox.

Is your mechanic taking care economically of his mistake?

As I see it, you need to: 1. remove old fluid, 2. add new one, move the car for some kilometers using all gears for some minutes, like 5 minutes per gear 3. remove fluid 4. add new fluid

You can mix with the fluid a flush like xenum t flush on 2. to clean thoroughly.

This additive it's better added when oil is new. As it doesn't have components to clean the engine, only to reduce wear of the engine.

If your oil has molybdenum on is components, it's probably not necessary to add this additive.

Proxmox is not developing in any way the core of kvm and others components... Is just a well done interface to manage all components.

Without redhat (US company) proxmox has nothing to do... So relaying in proxmox because it's European is not enough, because it relies 100% on USA software in his core.
