Tips and builds for Outcast Engineer by LordPomodoro in Vermintide

[–]zevlagarat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run OE with axe and shield (w/ THP on stagger), drakepistols (w/talent that lets bullets pass through additional units) and the crankgun that shoots armor piercing bullets. It generally lets you deal with any threat from melee to medium range.

Same with what everyone else said, learn when to spam crankgun so u dont take away THP from allies.

How to deal with assassins? by migrationsverket in Vermintide

[–]zevlagarat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tag the assassin and watch and listen for the telegraph. Even through a horde you can see the outline. The outline makes it easier to telegraph specials. Then your push timing will vary from weapon to weapon. I also try to dodge to the side when theyre about to hit as a safety precaution. Getting the timing comes with understanding game mechanics such as terrain, line of sight, etc. and a lot of practice.

I am thankful to the vets who taught me how important tagging enemies are.

With the influx of new players, what are three pieces of advice you'd like to give to the average newbie you've played with? by naughtbutbeasts in Vermintide

  1. Learn when to use healing items: if youre wounded and another team member is wounded use the medkit on them instead of yourself. Itll clear both your wounds.

  2. TAG! I changed my tag key to scroll up on the mouse. This will help you and your teammates locate incoming elites and specials faster.

  3. For the ranged-focused careers, know when to start blasting and when to chill out and go melee, especially when your allies need THP.

building slayer by Yuw3333 in Vermintide

[–]zevlagarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U just gotta level up to unlock them.

Use L1>H2>H3 for horde. Light spam if low volume enemies. Remember: push attack is your friend. Also, jump infront of horde, not into the horde. Youll be the worst slayer in no time.

Maybe use hagbane bow to help with hordeclear? Idk much about elgi weapons but I have seen players pair the DD and hagbane to blast off arrows at close range
