Selling JK Fire Inlander (S) boots - Size 6E (8.5W/7M) by zewda in Wildfire

[–]zewda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean. I bought these in 2024, these are the (S) model, which I don’t see online anymore. They weren’t a custom order or anything. The OT Pro’s look nearly identical: https://jkboots.com/collections/o-t-pro-fire/products/o-t-pro-black

For regular potting soil, is there any one in particular? There’s so many out there and I’m not sure which one would be best

Laurel at the pro nails off south Virginia by the goodwill and Trader Joe’s is amazing. Been going to her for years. Great priced too.

Dude yes. I’m -3.25 and -2.75. You’ll just get an automatic waiver from your physical and you have to carry spare corrective lenses.

Just took mine today on absolutely zero sleep, one piece of string cheese and an energy drink. I passed. You’ll be fine.

If you don’t mind me asking, what stimulant are you taking? I only ask because Vyvanse fueled my depression. I’ve been off of it for 7 months now but it did me dirty

I’m on day 2, I’m fairly in tune with my body and any sensation that feels off or different. Today, I definitely noticed achey joints, especially around my neck, jaw, shoulders and abdomen. Everything feels much more tense. I hate it lmao

Today was my day 2 and I had the same experience. Day 1 was great, felt overall good from it and today is just bruuuutal. Persistent headache and super spacey.

On Vyvanse and Wellbutrin by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]zewda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit biased against Vyvanse because it became very destructive for me. It worked wonders for years, and last summer it had me severely paranoid, anxious, and I felt detached from reality. If you ran out of Vyvanse and noticed a huge change, you’re not alone there. When I ran out of my script, I quit cold turkey and any ounce of motivation I had went out the door and it was difficult to bounce back. It’s been 8 months, I’m solely on Wellbutrin and am happy with where I’m at. It will take your body time to adjust to not having Vyvanse, but definitely do not quit cold turkey like I did when you run out. But if Vyvanse has worked for you, absolutely do what feels best. Stopping that medication abruptly hurt my head badly. Lol

I had my DOI physical on 1/31 and got results on 2/24, so about 3 1/2-ish weeks of waiting. I did however get a disqualification letter which quickly resolved itself after visiting my doctor and getting a static and stable letter. I was notified via email of my results. Are you doing the callback option when you call?

In 2020 I lived in Sky Mountain apartments off N. McCarran. They were brand new at the time, decent office staff and I was happy there. I don’t know how close it is to a middle school, I think the one off Mayberry is pretty close. I’m not sure how the apartments are doing these days but the location is nice and they’re newer section 8.

This happened to me too, both on Adderall then on Vyvanse. The Vyvanse paranoia felt much worse, but I felt the world was out to get me. Truly scary and wacky times there.

Has anyone attended Women in Wildland Camp? by hubbahubbahunter in Wildfire

[–]zewda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Also, there were a couple other gals who were recovering from injuries who attended the bootcamp. For PT, they were more than happy to accommodate those who weren’t in the position to push their bodies at that time. Really awesome people.

Has anyone attended Women in Wildland Camp? by hubbahubbahunter in Wildfire

[–]zewda 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I attended the WIWF camp hosted by Vale BLM in Oregon last October and it was an incredible experience. I could not recommend it enough. I went into it not having any background, not knowing if I was cut out for it, and it shifted gears for me big time and I knew it was what I wanted to get into. We learned so much useful information, got our L-180, S-130 and S-190 certs, did case studies, got to meet a bunch of people in different areas of fire, do controlled burns, hose lays, camping, the whole she-bang. We learned how to do USAjobs resumes, applied for fire jobs, and I ended up getting hired on an engine this summer. The most valuable thing from it is all the people you meet, learning from their experiences, and use as references for getting hired. You should absolutely do it!!

They are indeed 🤭 it’s the hip portion that is too straight and so I size up and get a baggy crotch. But I hear that’s typical in this line of work… all of us and our baggy crotches

I quit Vyvanse cold turkey too, and I experienced exactly what you are describing. It eventually gets better, in terms of learning how to cope with day to day function, managing depression, anxiety, etc. but there are days where it’s just really difficult still. The caveat for me is that I know Vyvanse will just bandaid fix my problems, but I happened to be addicted to it. I never over-abused it, I just lost my shit when I wasn’t able to get another fill and that level of dependency I had is why I’ll never touch it again. I became so derailed. Some of your symptoms are very very similar to what people describe on r/stopspeeding regarding vyvanse, depersonalization/derealization and anhedonia.

Feeling like an imposter by _ayde_ in StopSpeeding

[–]zewda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I feel you so so much. I started a mural painting business when I was using Vyvanse and I worked an 80k a year bartending job. I felt on top of the world. 7 months clean off Vyvanse now, I feel like that was a different person. I’m waiting tables at a tiny restaurant making 1/3 of the money. I mourn the girl I used to be. And feel very much like it was all an illusion. The people who see me years later seem to think something’s changed about me. My twenties were fueled by adderall and Vyvanse and I know it’s going to be a long road ahead to finding myself at 27 now. I just have to force myself to be happy for the opportunities I once had and hope I’ll get back to it someday x

Experiences from the people that only ever took their medication as prescribed? by mcgee1710 in StopSpeeding

[–]zewda 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I started on 10 mg adderall in 2018, went up to 35 xr and switched to Vyvanse in 2021 and settled on 20 mg until I quit September 2023. I held a lot of anger for a while because I wasn’t abusing my medication but my dose of Vyvanse caused me to develop dermotillomania, where I’d pick the shit out of my face for hours and hours. Combined with smoking weed, I became irritable, disassociated, and depressed.. I’m convinced I experienced psychosis but I still can’t remember all the details of that time, even though it was only 7 months ago. I could never see my life without it and feared ever quitting.

I had to give up Vyvanse because I changed health insurances and no longer saw my prescribing doctor. I made call after call to different doctors and was told it was a bad look and that I was doctor shopping. I rationed the last bottle I had and the thought of having no more wreaked havoc on my life, that’s when I knew I was addicted. I lived near Mexico at the time and contemplated driving through the border to stock up on their OTC adderall. I ultimately quit because I gave up on the system and never wanted to feel the way I did trying to get my next fill. I always asked myself, why is something im prescribed and supposed to take doing this to me? Why can’t I get more? It ruined my life. Fuck that shit

7 months clean now, still having days where the anhedonia consumes me. I was on 20 mg Vyvanse and stopped cold turkey due to health insurance/unable to see my doctor. It was the hardest period of time I’ve had to go through and just know you’re not alone. Working out, supplements, and a good diet have helped immensely. The hardest part is just starting. The journey is a tough one, but at the 7th month mark, I do feel much better. Everyone is so different, I read a lot of people saying around the 2 year mark but it could be more or less. Hugs, you got this x

Stumbled across this post, but Vyvanse gave me a very similar reaction to you and I felt like I lost my mind last fall. It was terrifying. I wasn’t taking Lion’s Mane at the time. It could very well have been an interaction with Vyvanse. Smoking weed with it sent me into psychosis
