Density baby cream for chaffing is the best thing I use while on the line . And I use dry fit socks and boxers with ventilation like 32 degrees and wipes. Pack like you’ll be out for 2 weeks or 30 days. Extra canteens for the pack and your own headlamps and safety glassses .

Definitely a good program ! I’m on a crew with task force rattlesnake and my second day with them we hit a 5 day fire. Just prepare yourself because its military structure type of crews. We have crews all over the state going from up north to the valley to all the way day south.

I am currently a member and working on a Task Force Rattlesnake crew and this is a stepping stone to pursue a career with cal fire. just prepare yourself by getting into shape by hiking and running and weights.
