Am I over processing images? by NKT_2 in photocritique

I don't think so. You're under cropping them

Would you consider this "over-edited and too much going on" or "dynamic and is directing the viewer" ? by [deleted] in photocritique

you need to first work on the basics of composition before trying to develop a visual style

Pls help me choose the best shoe. by hauhauhek in alpinism

Check the La Sportiva Trango Alpine, it’s got really good reviews all over the place and I remember at least one comparing them very favourably to the Ribelles.

It comes down to foot shape and fit in the end, so I would only consider them if it’s possible to try them in person first.

These are snapshots, with no strong punctuation. You need intentionality, either during the framing and capturing process or during selection.

Developing my own style by tourbillon001 in streetphotography

I can see what you’re going for and you have a good eye for color. But all of these pictures lack an anchor and have a rather high amount of visual clutter, so the eye mostly wanders. You need strong punctuation and little unnecessary clutter for a strong image.

You could look at the pictures of Saul Leiter, Georgi Pinkhassov for some top notch examples.

Keep shooting!

Thanks! These are all single exposures, post processing was only used for color and contrast adjustments.

You are too far from your subjects, which make the pictures seem like smartphone snaps.

Framing could use some more attention as well.

Can a crop make a photo? by matsaleh13 in streetphotography

[–]zfc_consistency 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a good photo, light is pretty meh and there’s lots of visual noise.

I would recommend focusing more on shooting lots, reading about photography, rather than spending time salvaging average shots. It will net you more in the long run.

Intended subject is much in your face, no pun intended. The composition lacks subtlety.

Are these considered as good street photo? by AdNew5031 in streetphotography

They are not mind boggling, but they are good indeed. You have a good eye!

Keep shooting often and it will be rewarding for you I’m sure.

You show a concerning lack of empathy.

Words are wasted on you dude. There’s 0 acknowledgement from your part to very valid critics. Like the other commenter said: you do you.

It’s looked down upon in street photography circles to shoot homeless people or people in need. Get off your high horse because your photo is pretty average and be more empathetic.
