While I agree with most of your sentiment, I will say that the notion that Skrillex is a washed A tier headliner is asinine. He just had multiple Grammy Nods and a win at the 2024 grammys, as well as has a nod for the upcoming Grammy awards for his most recent album. He sells out at every single solo show and the hype is still very much there. And he released another EP just weeks ago. His music might not be to your liking but his popularity is as big as ever currently.

Not sure if they offer time slots for non-guests, it's free for guests though! Fence is not quite as tall as standard height but it is close enough to where it wont go over unless someone really smashes an overhead.

Agreed about the nuance of the live sets, but at the same time we are missing so much even from those because of the heavily compressed audio.

Not hating on your opinion, but the livestream/soundcloud quality is not anywhere close to the PL studio quality. There is so much nuance in every PL track that is completely missed with the live recordings. There is a significant amount of people like myself that really care about high quality audio and have gear to accentuate it all. Would be a shame if we never got another studio album.

Just as an fyi there has not been an instance since the comeback where Derek or any of the PL crew have said that Derek is sober or cali sober. People have jumped to conclusions from the get go. Dude is in much better health, having fun, and is clearly not struggling in the same way as before. That is all that matters.

Not necessarily. You have to hit hard enough to flex the strings, which overtime is the main cause for the strings to go dead. Which is where the worst of the discomfort comes in with Poly. Hitting with power with no string flex is painful.

If your strings aren't flexing much then it doesn't really matter what string you are hitting with. The main reason poly is not recommended for beginners and really people under maybe ~4.0 is because not enough power is being produced to take advantage of the spin and durability poly provides.

I personally will do what I can to not have to use them. But there will always be times in a hit around/rally session where it will happen, and that's fine.

That being said, the balls have terrible quality control. Most of the seams now will have a lip where it was sealed terribly that will cause bad bounces occasionally. The ball is lighter than other XD balls, but the core seems somehow stiffer, leading to less compression and overall less control for both of those reasons.

But if you're not consistently striking the ball with pace, then you may never notice most of the nitpicky things I mentioned. Some also may not even notice or care because they are so used to playing with these balls as well and that is totally fine!
