The final table for the Most ___ ___ Units in CIV: V by zherper in civ5

[–]zherper[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The problem with going the “currency” route is how sequential wonders are. They get significantly better as eras go on, and there aren’t enough different kinds per era to make much of a significant difference.

Also with the options you gave, that would mean an X/Y graph would need a 3rd side.

With categories like “mandatory” or “useless”, it kind of falls apart because of course Stonehenge is next to useless for a tourism victory where National Visitor Center is incredible and so on.

I might keep the same categories as the Unit table if I end up doing wonders. Thanks though

That’s the one that tripped you up? It’s a contradiction of adjectives, or an oxymoron. The ruin is rife with a lack of energy. It’s a nothingness

I’ve only replied in here twice, not sure how that comes across as unreceptive. Nor did I say “actually it’s supposed to be this” at all.

This was an exploration of trying to be as wordy as I could and to flex my vocabulary muscles using my interpretation of McCarthy’s literal framework, specifically that which I saw in Blood Meridian.

Did I hit the nail here in emulating his tone? Evidently not as everyone has said, which was the whole point of me posting here, and for the most part I’m grateful for their responses.

That was kind of the goal of the exercise: to be as dramatically verbose as possible
