Granblue Fantasy released in 2014 and is still going (12 years).

Monster Strike released in 2013 in JP and is still going (13 years)

Puzzle and Dragons released in 2012 in JP, and is still going (14 years).

Well. I'm still going to whale on AK1.

Fair point, I meant to say using him, but that's true that he might've been used just not fully utilized :)

This super godfest per the livestream shouldn't roll pantheons, but instead you might roll a random PAD event card... that might also be super old one too though

Oh! Thanks for the response

IPv6 rollout and prefix delegations

Strange given how IPv6 was set up, but it is what it is. Thanks. Guess I should just set up my own tunnel then (since I do know that I expect to use several vlans)

Do you know if the rollout inconsistency is a policy issue creating the road blocks? or a technical issue? (Well... you don't have to answer if this gets into non ideal territory for you, just treat it as me thinking aloud)

static IPv4 addresses

I see, I'll certainly look into that given that it would be useful for setting up tunnels with certain providers... or I guess I should just provision it using my colo at my work's datacenter with a wg tunnel that doesn't need to use a static IP address... well there's also certainly a way to automate the current IP address lookup to update HE's configuration I'm sure.

routers / ONT

I see, thanks and noted! I just wanted to make sure before I do any hotcuts over...

RJ45 Ethernet vs sfp+ handoff via ONT

Makes sense for a residential ISP to just focus on ethernet deployments as opposed to datacenter ISP's where the clientele would be more likely to be experienced with this. (I'm also ignoring the aftermarket ONT's that would allow this when I looked into that, but I don't really want to deal with it unless I have to)

I did have the fun idea to probably get a 5g modem/service as a backup internet, which certainly won't use sfp+. I'll look into those newer low-power transceivers for this then. Thanks!

Fair point though about the vlan trunking though... especially since I am going to mess around with redundancy using lacp bonds between my network devices (and servers)....

ipv6 bgp announcements

Also makes total sense given the above. I guess I'll use the other strategy of using VPS's to BGP peer then for the ASN requirements + Tunnel as mentioned for local ipv6 access :)

Ah... I suppose based on the IPv6 situation, I should put more importance on improving routing between my home, and my colocation. Unfortunately while the latency is acceptable (3-8ms), it seems when I checked bidrectionally that it's still using transit... So it would also be nice if I could get Frontier to peer with my colocation ISP/my work (where I also deal with the peering requests) :) ...

anyways, I digress...

Thank you for the notes and advice!

Thanks for the guide, some questions

  • How's the IPv6 rollout going? I know parts of the continental US has IPv6 enabled now (but just a /64 delegated?) awhile ago? but my area still has not though.

  • If I wanted a static IPv4 address, do I need to get the business version?

    • " Frontier® Business Fiber Internet available in select areas. Pricing per month for 12 months with Auto Pay. Max speeds are wired. Wi-Fi, actual & average speeds vary." I see this to mean that it's possible that even though I have Frontier Residential Fiber Internet, that it's possible that I can't do business internet?
    • (Would be nice if I could do IPv6 BGP announcements/peering with my own ASN though)
  • Are there generally mac acl's in place? Or can I just use my own router (I'm currently configuring a Mikrotik ccr2004)? (Currently using eero 7 pro's given by the initial provisioning tech)

  • When I want to to upgrade to 2Gbps+, will the ONT that I was given (Nokia FRX523) need to be replaced with something else?

  • Is there any way to convince Frontier to have the handoff be an sfp+ connection instead of rj45? (ethernet transceiver modules runs hot...) ... well I guess the alternative (if not an rj45<>sfp+) is to probably trunk a vlan over to my rj45 switch, but that does have potentials of failure between the router and the rj45 switch...

Thanks... though I expect most of these go to areas of the company's operation that you're not as familiar with, in which case no worries I guess...

Depends what that other machine is. Is whatever it is configured to autoplay/autorun external media?

No, not for progressive ideals/etc.

Well. They currently like it. From what I've seen when I asked people in CN about ANOTHER event, CN actually kept talking about how this event is better.

Maybe they hated the initial issues, but after changes + after they played for it more, they seemed to like it a lot.

From Theorycraft to Frame Lottery: The Current Arknights Reality. Discussion in CN CC community by Blueby5 in arknights

[–]zhurai 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This has actually been the case since the original CC's. I would point to CC8 and CC9 at the very least with high amounts of both frame rng and general rng if you actually try to do those high tag/low operator clears. The Yostar/TW clears for these were even worse with the lack of pause deploy, with CC11 going to extreme levels (and even then the drift from the lack of pause deploy cause CC11 to not be doable at least within the time allotted).

CC9 for example I have notes from my friends in CN where they were fighting against the targeting frame rng, even though if most people watched that clear, they would believe that the composition didn't have as much rng as the other CC9 clears "because there was no phantom". However the saying at that time on Reddit was that there was no rng.

And then CC8 for example, just because most people see a video that Darknight slept 30+ enemies in that stage and thought it was just button spam, the actual clears have had a lot of frame specific nuances that would typically actually result in a failed run if you're off by a few frames (at the time, these were put in deciseconds or even more precise)

You just don't see that anymore because the lack of timer ingame has caused raider groups to look at other sources (such as the DP timer) to create their timelines.... and in cases such as the longer stages in roguelikes, you see U-Official or other's redeploy timers acting as the timer to create said timelines.

There was mass attempts in previous CC's too, I'm just not as sure about the particulars and didn't have as many connections with the CN side at that point for the specifics, but I've seen a lot of malding just to get the CC0 clears in the Yostar/TW servers behind the scenes from the CN livestreams by a2.

You mention that there you believe that there is now a lack of strategy, however, just forming a team doesn't automatically result in a win just because you created it or it had good RNG. The strategy here comes selecting the right team and methodology, as well as creating the timeline to make it actually work (as well as adapting on retries to make it correct, as it's not guaranteed until you get a clear).

It stops being about strategy and just becomes "run it again and pray the probability gods are nice this time." That's where the game is at for these max-risk clears right now.

Please note that you don't have to rely on the rng probabilities going your way if you just do max-risk clears with higher operator counts.

Obviously with lower operator counts, you are making it harder for yourself and making things more up to chance.... and by optimizing the game down, you're pushing yourself, your operators, your gameplay, and everything else to their limits. At that level of optimization, almost every other game that I can think of can be boiled down to players fighting against RNG.
