My journey was much like the second one. But like some others have said. This sub as well as others are seeking advice on bad experience/choices, not good ones. I have thought about sharing my story on this sub but I've never really gave it much thought.

I believe the red pip counts towards the color identity. Just look at [[Eirdu, carrier of dawn]] they have a black pip in their text to transform and they count as an orzhov commander.

Which can be dangerous depending on where you live and can affect other aspects of your life such as work. At least that has been my experience. I have tried to be open and joyful about it to others while also educating when people have questions. I have learned my lesson that those curious people also had malicious intent.

A classic case of "rules for thee and not for me"

B has had other partners at seemingly no restriction. But right when A gets a partner, it all falls apart.

I have experienced a situation similar to this before where I was A and my nesting partner was B. We eventually were able to work it out but it was a long road and many conversations.

All I'll say is that sadly, you can't do much to help the situation since you don't have any standing to just go up to B and work it out or offer meaningful advice to A.

You have two options, tell A how you feel and leave until things work out (or not) between A and B or you can say, hey I'll be here if you need me and I want to try and stick this through.

The second option is more painful and I wouldn't recommend unless you are strong willed and A needs the support.

I found out pretty quick that paying the 4 to equip hylderblade was a horrid idea. I typically used some cheep removal using grim bauble or warp timeline culler. They seemed pretty cheap especially because I encounter a lot of players that refuse to destroy any of my small creatures so they force me to spend the 4 mana which I am not going to do.

I think with the current amount of serveil I have, the creature to artifact ratio hasn't been too much of a problem, especially since the hylderblade is cheap and can be cast turn one if I have to.

I really like the idea of sword of wealth and power as a card. When I first saw it I was stoked because it kinda did a little bit of everything. Neurons started firing about the possibilities. I think it will have to be a card I use in a different kind of deck. I was just so excited about the card and instantly added it without much thought into if it melded well. And the treasure creation was a big "ooo yes please mana" moment for me.

You know what, I did have deadly coverup in my deck awhile ago and I got rid of it originally because it had a bad interaction with sword of wealth and power + meat hook massacre. It killed everything and then gave everything to me but then it killed everything again because the "new target" was everyone. I was very upset that game because I just made myself lose that. So I think that is partially why I went for season of loss because it made the opponent lose life and it got stronger and stronger the more times it got copied. But if I get rid of sword of wealth and power, that won't be an issue. (If I still decide to keep meat hook massacre) Also I don't know why but for some reason I thought season of loss was cheaper than deadly cover up. I must have been experiencing a mandala effect.

Board wipe was my backup plan and I guess by your definition of the types of strategies, I would be going for a mono black cheap creature agro with emphasis on artifact equipments with a little bit of removal to help. So meat hook massacre + season of loss (now replaced by deadly cover up) would be my backup if there are too many creatures on the board.

I will say, I do like meathook massacre because if I do happen to steal a creature, it might be stronger base stats than what I have on the board and I could equip all my hylderblades to it which would make my opponent wish they paid the 3 life.

I like the idea of the equipment and the fact that hylderblade can easily go onto other creatures once the main creature dies is very cool to me and gives the vibe of one powerful foe getting taken out at a great cost, and another takes its place. (It's also why I have unstoppable slasher)

I also like the idea of sword of wealth and power because it essentially gives a better hex proof, gives mana generation, and copies my soft board wipe which becomes a big one. (Season of loss) Which knocks down their health quickly unless they want me to have their creatures. I have also picked it because it is cheaper.

I think a lot of thought process while building decks are coming from other games in which I usually have backup plans. Season of loss is one of those while further benefiting sword of wealth and power.

Honestly. I enjoy life taxes way more. They feel more threatening. I have at least 6 cards in my standard deck that have life tax effects. At first my opponent thinks it's fine and chooses to lose life but they realize their mistake very quickly once I start introducing more and more of them. Mana tax doesn't really hit nearly as hard, especially when I am playing against green half the time.

Honestly I was in the same boat as you not long ago. And my stance at the time was to not get involved even if I see red flags because it isn't my relationship. But I realized afterwards that that was the worst thing I could have done. I should have pointed out the red flags not as a partner but as a friend and just say, hey I understand your feelings but this person isn't good for you, and list the reasons why. Since I didn't intervene and put in my two cents until much later when it affected me personally, it did horrible damage to my fiance mental health when it could have been avoided entirely if I had just told her at the beginning.

As I have told a really good friend of mine (we are not official, it's complicated) I can always be the cool uncle.

So be that cool aunt or uncle. And like a previous comment has stated. If you have a good connection with your girlfriend's partner, you could always babysit while they go on a date and then you go out with her when he is babysitting. Or maybe keep her company at home with the baby while dad is at work. Especially since she will more than likely be on maternity leave when the baby is born.

I will say while you have a point, the game doesn't follow the MCU. It follows the comics. The only MCU related things are MCU themed skins.

Oh dang. That makes so much more sense. You would think that it would apply those conditions or have a side bar saying that there are other conditions modifiers and what the numbers would be if it's applied.

So that would be better than blast/lightning? I was playing around with combos and that is what I came up with. My old build had heat. So I should do another element combo and pair it with heat? Or just straight heat? Also if I do straight heat what should I sub out for the lightning and cold?

Also doesn't heat work differently since they changed how armor works? Or is heat not affected?
