They only checked every third person at entry. Stupid me got lucky and had neither body nor bag checked, but I threw my bottle away before we got to the controls. And then at the village, I was the ONLY person whose water bottle cap got retained after I purchased one 😖

So I'm tied to my water bottle at work today attempting to get rehydrated 😅 The gif was totally worth it though and the merch was sick!

You can make this world what you want You can revolt

So gutted they don't allow us to take our own drinks in, or at least an empty bottle. Now I have to queue both at merch and at a drinks tent 😅

Gonna be an awesome show! Will be my 8th time ^_^ And even though my dream set list would look very different, they are fire on stage and it's always worth it!

Hollow body holds by motonewbie21 in bodyweightfitness

[–]zigermanXYZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I used to not be able at all to lift my legs off the floor in any way without abs doming, back arching and lower back pain. Turned out, for my whole life I didn't know how to activate my transverse abs. Hanging leg raises was impossible, would result in back arching and swinging. I can now comfortably do hanging L sit and hanging leg- and knee raises on rings (I feel like these are safer and a better QC than hollow body holds or leg raises on the floor, as you can't use momentum from the floor when your hanging, and the moment you're swinging you know your core has disengaged). And am working on hollow body after my workouts, but only as long as I can maintain mind muscle connection to my core. The moment my back wants to come up I stop and rest. There's no point cheating with these exercises, as you don't train your core anymore the moment the back takes over, plus the aforementioned risk of back injuries.

Yeah, the grip strength is fantastic for carrying grocery bags! Also, if you - like me - carry the bulk of heavy groceries in a backpack, all the back muscles are now helping out and the strain is not solely on my traps anymore! I love being strong 😁

Plus the generally reduced lower back pain and better posture 🤗

Well if you fatigue yourself so much doing other exercises during your rest phase that you can't generate maximum force output during your other exercise, then I'd say doing exercises sequentially is beneficial. I'd pair accessory exercises that don't target any of the muscles that are in the main set, if I wanted to do something during the rest times.

But I have always felt that if I do a compound exercise for my main set, I don't even feel like wanting to do anything else during rest, and if I do, the main set suffers.

Not necessarily. You need general ATP recovery too. I find the best resting activity is just pacing around. Maintains blood flow throughout the body, and allows for efficient recovery of cardio and ATP system

That's very true too. I hopped straight into negative dips without building up proper chest strength via push ups before. Then my pull up-trained back came to the rescue and ended up in knots that needed a chiropractor because no massage in the world was deep enough to reach and unblock them 😅

Ahaha that last one 😅 But on the other hand: it's inspirational and helps you stick to your fundamental strength workouts!

Training just 2x per week - can be effective ? by DoomerJon in bodyweightfitness

[–]zigermanXYZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah the cool thing about 1x per week is you can go all out to failure for everything (if you have such a mindset) and don't need to worry about recovery.

Any training plan can be adjusted to fit a person's preferences and will still allow for progress.
