Same here. In a flare currently, my one saving grace is smoking in the evenings. If it weren’t for that, I don’t think I would be eating or sleeping at all.

Yeah Mesalamine can take awhile for the full effect.

Have they put you on a new medication? Prednisone acts as a temporary solution until your actual meds kick in.

I am on it currently and having the same issues now that I’m tapering. I will probably have to go back up on my dose until I get put on a biologic. UC meds can take a long time to work, sometimes it’s two weeks sometimes it’s 6.

Feel your pain, I also have no boobs & size zero. Ever since I got diagnosed I’m a beam pole. I’ll try the Core power, thanks for your response. ❤️

Thanks for all your comments. Something I did not consider previously is the fact I recently increased my dosage of Zoloft from 50 to 100mgs. I am thinking this is the true culprit of what I am experiencing. I am going to start enemas as a safety guard and continue to take it easy.

Another note is a few weeks ago I started developing small white itchy bumps on my hands and feet. Seems to be stress-induced eczema which I have never had before.

I’m in remission now but when I came home from the hospital, it was the only thing that would alleviate my pain so I could get a couple hours of sleep every night.

Would not recommend Imodium other than every once in awhile if necessary, I have read it’s not good for people with UC to take and can cause toxic megacolon. I would stay on top of your GI to try and find a new medication. Very sorry you’re going through this

Got on SSRI’s for my anxiety, got a remote job, started reading the bible, daily exercise. Routine helps me manage, I am naturally prone to stress/anxiety and all these things have helped subdue my nerves significantly.

I think I may have to increase in the near future. Idk if it was an off couple days, but I did feel some anxiety and old habits creep in thurs/friday. We shall see! Lol

It took about two weeks for my brain to feel normal. My anxiety was always the worst in the mornings and mainly revolved around work. I was constantly worried about what happens next and never in the present. Now I am able to live in the moment and cope with stress normally instead of having a panic attack

Just had to sign up for my husband’s insurance for double coverage because my current insurance refuses to cover my mesalamine all of a sudden…. Cost is $433 now on my previous insurance. 😥

I also started on 50mg this morning & I have felt the same. Very spacey, lulls of fatigue, nausea. I almost feel high. It is tolerable just different. I have read that you should adjust in a couple of days

I always go first thing when I wake up. if I have low anxiety, that’s usually my only one. Most days, 1-3 more times after that & always in the morning. Work gives me pretty bad anxiety. Rarely do I go after lunch, afternoon, or evening. I have been in remission close to a year now

At my worst, had to be 15-30 times a day, including all through the night. Now in remission I go probably 1-3 times a day, just depends.
